I suggest you go on wikipedia & look up Ho Chi Minh. You'll find French colonization of Vietnam caused 2 millions deaths due to starvation. You'll also find the Proclamation of Independence written by HCM, in it the first sentence reads "Life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness...." (sound familiar?) HCM wrote several letters to 2 US Presidents requesting support prior the declaring war against the French, but only to be ignored. HCM didn't have a choice but to turn to Communism....

5 stars for you Col. Indeed, U.S. never been defeated in Vietnam War, all major battles they fought, they came out as victors. It just the people back in states was no longer supporting the war. For 10 years the NVA failed to capture the whole vietnam because the Americans was still there.
