James has gone off the deep end. He is speaking with some strange, fake accent--perhaps he is trying to imitate a German accent but it comes out like a Russian accent. The narrator of this clip is not reporting perfectly "straight" on James's activities. Her intonation signals disapproval or ridicule of James' activities (his search for a weekend companion). It is sad and disappointing to see someone with so much money and good genes (he can sing pretty well, I think) act weirdly.
Somebody who speaks English and German please translate this for us. What is going on in this video? Are they saying that James Garfunkel is a spoiled brat? He seems pompous and entitled. James' English accent is odd. Is his first language German? Please just a few sentences to clue us in. Thanks.
they just tell the story of james and his german friend, how they trying to find a girl for james to accompany them to Kitzbühel/Tyrol. they're going to a disco and pick the one with botox in her lips and plastic in her breasts. james seems really dislikable because of all the money. the girl, you can see it in the video by the language of her body, isn't really attracted to him although she pretends it.

"This is where the friendship ends" he said. Years later when Simon & Garfunkel played munich, I saw him shouting "You make my life a fucking horror" to other people who noticed him and who made his luxurious life possible by buying his records. It's clear to see why S & G seperated.
Oh , I can't believe he is that kind of person . I do think he is a good guy while I was watching the whole "across the america" clip . he disappoints me after your terrible story
