Dr. Thalheimer is right on the mark. As an instructional designer for many years I have long recognized the need to carry training back to the workplace to be applied. The challenge is to engage the learner with as little interruption as possible. I recently discovered a program named Retain that forwards scenarios to the learner via email with a back office to tabulate results.
Good content. Interesting. I love the subject of training and development so much!!! Recently I also attended a free online training about training at trainingforthetrainer. com got my certificate as an Associate Trainer.
so basically remembering and on the job support application are the missing links.
please can i ask if you would consider task description, monitoring and supervision, appraisal, skills check and evaluation, task feed back, job knowledge and problem identification as part of these links and do you think these links can fit into your model?
