Politically and economically, Merkel is inactive. In her customary sitting out of issues, which she's surprisingly permitted to do, she's imitating Helmut Kohl who virtually sold Germany out to the EU. She's masterly at leaving colleagues in the lurch for promotion of her own career aims and, during her youth in the DDR, her family was very privileged. She was an activist for the communist and youth parties.

Merkel is obviously being pesented to the US public as a "woman of vision" as a the "epitomy of a leader". What is she really like? Those of us in Germany get her rammed down our throats for breakfast, dinner and tea. Identical to her mentor Helmut Kohl, she's mediocre as a politician but a dab hand as an intrigant and at surrounding and shoring herself up with networks of putty-like yes-men.

I lived there for 30 years and I'm always amazed how that country is portrait especially when it comes to the social net. No one goes hungry to bed, NOBODY faces bankruptcy due to health care bills and at least up till now they don't have to worry about guns in schools. No freedom of speech??? In Germany , Angela Merkel is also known as "IM Erika" ( The name the "Stasi" used for her ). In times of the GDR she was FDJ-Secretary for Agitation and Propaganda ( Freie Deutsche Jugend -Free German Youth). She is a communist u-boat, which constantly reminds us of the "manmade global warming" . Germany is an unfree,semi-socialist state. There is no such thing then "freedom of speech". People who speak up against massimmigration from the muslim world, get kicked out of politics .
