When this young man reaches 50 and has lung cancer he can look back to this video to see where he got it from. He has a really dumb father to let him do this.
Hope you're still alive. That air is very likely contaminated with oil and carcinogens purely from the compressor and hoses. Not to mention the crap that's in that little rusty metal tank.
@Hamilyndrich Sure it can. Just a little bit of oil & water other than being a poison can give you pneumonia. You could get carbon monoxide poisoning, the oil mist you are certainly inhaling can cause emphysema over time or the air could even be hypoxic. There is a reason NO surface supplied air compressor is bought at Home Depot. Even for a pool.
@jstnmlr I'll be sure to remember that when I'm dying a tragically slow and painful death from this compelling folly in my scuba mask design. I'm sure Hitler's saving me a spot next to the heater in hell for this.
@93HarleyRider want my diver No. ? u want my instructors name? the date i passed the ISO 24801-2 standards? and what does emoblise mean? as far as I'm concerned its not a word. its not the depth as much as the time, pure oxygen isn't good for your body and the only time i use it is for decompression stops as is shortens it by helping remove residual nitrogen from the dive. let me guess your a tek diver with 40 years experience and thousands of logged dives... inbox me so i can tell you more
@Hamilyndrich it looks fun to do and its a clever set up, but people need to stop arguing with me while they have this page and google on another trying to find irrelevant information to support their points like sufficing at 4 feet with a deep breath? u take a deep breath when u jump in a pool and when you surface do you tear your lungs? no its nonsense and it makes them look stupid
@kentzaca I'll stop arguing with you and your tek/commercial certs because all this is dumb. If someone wants to let their kids do something incredibly stupid, then go for it. There are lots of people out there that know lots of stuff. But you don't know the difference between a breath-hold dive and taking a breath at depth and surfacing. Or that to embolise is the act of causing an embolism. Have a good one and safe diving.
@jstnmlr you try to act mature by ending something i don't have a tek or commercial certification, you must have pulled that out of your ass like the rest of your comment, and why should you judge how his parents are? its sure it looks stupid from a professional stand point but they build it and it worked, and probably had fun doing so, its all based on perspectives
use an oilless air compressor & fliters. if the air should smell / taste clean & fresh. if the air has an odor or taste, it is contaminated & should not be used.
@93HarleyRider hes in a pool not 65 feet underwater and you can hold your breath underwater you just cant have your lungs empty or else they will collapse.... next time you comment make sure you know what your talking about so you avoid making your self look retarded
@kentzaca It only takes 1 deep breath at 4 feet held in you lungs going to the surface to tear the alveoli sacs causing lung tear. So good luck. Maybe you ought to read up on Boyle's Law and it's effect on Scuba Diving.
@jstnmlr i never brought up ascent? if your at a set depth your fine, ill read the law if you stop using google in an argument which you know nothing of.
like that you are actualy breathing in air and hi pressure line oil, that will stick to your broncs and the inside surfaces of your lungs and never leve you, you can avoid that by using one of those battery pumps used to inflate inflatable materasses, or a hand operated one. but this is gonna kill you
@trombonista92 I think it would kill any one if they used it for 5 or 6 years non-stop. Its actually quite common for most people to coat there lungs with tar and other deadly poisons, its called smoking lol
@EvstarProductions1 Yes indeed, it has a one way valve right below the line-in connection that lets air pass out of the mask freely so there is a constant flow of fresh oxygen (and nitrogen lol) without unwanted pressure. :)

@ kentzaca.... you are probally not a certified diver, if you were, & knew anything ... you would know you can emoblise in 3 feet of water.

And the person who said "one sec let me turn on the oxygen" its not oxygen that would kill him its 21% oxygen 79% nitrogen...
