Although the Gov. took advantage of this event to boost up some national pride, it's fair to say that some people from all over the world didn't hesitate to volunteer for help. Miners and 4 NASA specialists came over from U.S. to assist with drilling shafts, feeding and psychological assistance for the trapped miners.

China, Germany and Australia, among others, also helped with heavy machinery and specialized equipment. Thanks to all of them!

Being fair, I guess NASA helped designing the miners's meals and psicological help.

The world is extremely elated in this Chile Miners Rescue. It is obvious that a lot of teamwork was put in play and many locally and far away played significant roles in the safe rescue of all 33 miners.

One of my collegues, a teacher of French, is a Chilean. So personally this had my interst from day 1, August 5, 2010. Great work to all including the President of Chile and the whole rescue team.

NASA involvement was mainly about giving suggestions on behaviour issues. Also providing the Biometric belts attached to the miners.They also sent a 16 page recomendation for the design of the capsule that was at the end disigned and constructed by ASMAR(Chilean Navy)...they took some tips here and there..... . The drilling machinery was already here. The man who operate "plan B" was from USA. ok......But man this is a CHILEAN OPERATION !!! conducted by Chilean ingeneers all the way........
