For a smooth animation set the transition time between scenes to 4 or more seconds and set the pause to 0 seconds. This will eliminate the jerky video motions. When you export the animation choose "options" and set the FPS to 30 and use at least a 1024x768 resolution.
@ransaurus you mean the hill? first click eraser, hold on the ctrl key (if it is not that one, hold on alt or shift key, i changed to mac so i can't remember) and click on the lines.
If you don't get it, type Sketchup eraser tool and click the 1st video that comes up

@ransaurus draw curve on a rectangular face and erase unnecessary area and lines. Then use push/pull tool to pull the shape up ;)
