thrust vectoring is wicked. i love it on my sim but no way would i do hovers, flat spins and tumbles with a $600 plane lol. ill wait till vectoring gets cheaper and comes on all the ducted jets :D
@koss375 this is nozzles behind an impeller, in an EDF, are you talking about a mid plane prop plane with surfaces or what? All thrust vectored stuff is pretty sensitive, because of what you want it to do, takes a lot of travel. Most jet models aren't thrust vectored, ...yet lol
@warderseeker yes, I use to fly midpropp su 37 ( /watch?v=COasPN_lKRw ) and now I have a midpropp mig-29, where I have added and shaped out some styrofoam to make the nose and cookpit look real. It actually looks like yours and flies well) Nice skills you got, btw! I dont really dare getting and edf yet, since I crash too often.
@Kkhlam29 I think one or two of the hovers I might've used it, but mostly now I don't bother. Too low I don't like to use it, as you have to fly it out of trouble LOL Using 4000mah nanotech 35-70C get about 4-5 minutes. 4 minutes if you're doing all 3D stuff, for sure thanks for watching, couple more videos of this up, and more to come
Great flying! this has to be one of the best videos ive seen. i noticed in one of the comments you mentioned a gyro. i have always wanted to know more about gyros on edf jets. is this something worth doing? also i have an f5e 70mm and want to know what the best mods to make to this would be while on a budget.
@TheBenWahBalls thanks a lot, I have a few videos of this jet up now. The gyro is only on there for the rudder, and for hovering. A few guys use gyros on their jets, but it's mostly for the nose gear steering I think, or on a 3D plane for cheating at hovering, with a gyro on the rudder. Basically once you are hovering, it takes care of that axis and all you have to do is control the elevator, throttle and ailerons instead. I wouldn't worry about a gyro on any regular jet
@flyboycub haha...title says AND formation We do have two of them, but one is having some problems with electrical and one of the fans now. Hopefully we'll get two up at some point
@PatBALEX thanks a lot, but just looks easy. jet does fly very well, but doing this stuff is more like flying a heli, little more stressfull lol Right now I'm using some 4cell nanotechs from HK, 3300mah 35-70C Also one 25C Hyperion 3300 that does OK too, but both need to be more MAH. More like 4000. They suggest a $130 Thunder Power 4000mah LOL Dont' think I'll be doing that. Also trying a new "Gravity" 3300 30C, supposed to be a new label for Gens Ace or something
@phishintodd thanks a lot, we have a really great group of guys out there, that fly everything from big 50cc gassers or bigger, right down to Ultra Micro that are upgraded and almost go as fast LOL thanks for watching
@stevecraignet thanks a lot, hahaha...table top launch looks hilarious and works great. Love doing flight testing too, hahah I test more planes at the field than I probably have myself
@Trituri1337 actually we had an uprigth Habu, land on an inverted one already, nice little touch and go off the belly side of my Habu. thanks for watching
@ograymare 3-5 minutes depends on hovering or regular flight, 3300 35C batteries, but could go as high as 4200mah 4cell room for one battery only, supplying power to two 70mm fans
amazing thrust vectoring performance, great flying skills man, this jet must be one of your favs already, look forward to more for sure AC/DC music is perfect for this baby
@randyneighbour thanks man, I was hoping to catch some of the other one we have at the field as well, there will be two up at once soon, doing formation
@Don9aleh yes, hobby lobby is selling them, and a few more. Atlanta hobby maybe, also thunder power is the one doing them through Seb Art so they may sell them also.
@nishbrown haha...it was already talked about durin that flight. Don't tempt me.. from a really high alpha harrier, timed just right, could even keep the throttle on just a touch, to stop it from sliding down the table LMAO
this looks like one nice jet! i saw the prototype model and was blown away by its performance. its thrust to weight ratio is amazing. I might end up buying one in the future
@hotblume thanks a lot, this thing is great, and the twin 70mm engines worked pretty well. guys are still upgrading them though, for even more of a pull away from vertical, like in the hovers
That Mig is awesome. I think I have a new favorite EDF. Your flying was superb. Does it have retracts? Your vids get better and better bro. Thanks for making them. 10/10
@BryansFlyin Hey man, thanks a lot. No retracts on this one, saving weight for the 3D stunts. The table launch was hilarious, glad it worked so well. Some of the guys worry about throwing them for us, worries about screwing up the launch and dropping the jet, but the table worked great. Hand launches are really a breeze too, jumps out of the guys hands
@777muzzy thanks a lot, it does fly really well, but i've heard of some of the problems guys have had. I'm happy with it and it's performing as expected. We do know the esc's are marginal, so those will probably change out. Might even see about a 5cell in the future. soldering on one of the ones we got was not great though, cold solder connection had to be redone. The gyro does work well though, long as the gain and set points are right
in the mean time upload some more vids of your tallent.. subscribed

Is it harder to fly that a similar parkjet? slowdown at 38 sec. ?
koss375 1 month ago
@koss375 yes, anything with TV is going to be harder to fly than a regular thrust plane. Yes 1/2 speed for the pass after 0:38.

@warderseeker but doesnt moving nozzles behind the propp count? like on the most foam figter jet models, is this one more sensitive?
