  • Irish Guards certainly do have a corps of drums. They didn't for a while but it's back and thriving.

  • omg this is the same solo i used with my drum section when i played in the 2005 world marching band comp in calgary with the army cadets C company Grenadier guards. I learnt this solo from the guards in 2004 and to this day still fiddle around with everynow and then! nice performance!

  • I didnt know the army did stick drill.

  • Each infantry battalion have a Corps of Drum (except Scottish/Irish regiments who have pipes and drums), who play the instruments that armies used to march into battle with.

    They're not part of the regimental bands, rather, these are professional soldiers first and drummers second.  In the case of the Grenadier Guards (here) their Corps of Drums form a specialist Pioneer platoon (though they used to be a Machine-gun platoon).
