Hah, as it happens I am already trying to learn this in the Fade to Black metallica solo. Instead of going from 5 to 8, it's a pulloff from 8 to 5, But I can't get the bend sounding good, I will touch adjacant strings during the bend and sounds terrible. Plus I can't play it upto speed yet.

dude, your fingers are long enough to fret 2 guitar necks. lol that is a cool lick. Probably the most favorite lick of straight ahead rock and blues guitarists. I know I've gotten a lot of mileage out of it over the last 30 years. haha :-) When the well runs dry, you can always get back in the box and play variations of that lick.

I learned that lick back in the early 70s from a fellow guitar player who was willing to show me a few licks when I was just learning......I consider it numba 1...I mean it sounds so good....if you get lost or stuck in a solo.....just go into that lick and then back to the rhythm...you can also do a slower version where you stretch the G string until you hit the same note as the B string....there are a few more variations of that lick that kick ass..
