  • This is wicked. You should sell these.

  • Duracoating the multitools. That's new.

  • Nutn try the Gerber Suspension, everyone says it's the best tool for it's price

  • Oh my... if I ever tried that I'd end up putting all the pieces back in the wrong order!

Although, it does make the MT look 20X more suave.

  • Uber cool ! Great job !

  • Hello nutnfancy, can you tell me what is the best multi-tool today?

  • @mikr0bas leatherman charge tti

  • Help Stop False Flag Terror!!!:/watch?v=fzBM55lpNco CALL THE WHITE HOUSE: COMMENTS- (202) 456-1111 (202)456-1414

  • Good job

  • Its been 2 years Nutn, when are you going to DuraCoat the Xootr!?

  • Is it okay to eat food prepared with a duracoated blade? Is it going to poison me? I love the look of this duracoated stuff.

  • when you said sheen i thought of charlie sheen

  • Thanks again for another great vid nutn... quick question what the price be if I were to get my Leatherman duracoated and how much would it be if I were to do the spyderco tenacious. Last question what are your thoughts on blackhawk blades?? If you have time you should do some reviews on those blades? Thanks again

  • Duracoat the Zipppppppo Lighter.

  • @barndler Ive been looking for a super thrashed zippo, no matter the color, to do just that.

  • nutnfancy is a multi-tool God!....WHO JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE ALOT OF TIME ON HIS HANDS...and patience!

  • Purrty awesome. I can has? :)

  • Haven't seen you in the shop for ages Nutn

  • Leatherman are overpriced overrated. Gerber or Kobalt from loews is life time warranty and a really nice multi tool. check them out before wasting your money on a leatherman, Nut nice duracoating

  • @barndler Dude, 25 year no matter what warranty.

They are great, i dont think you have any actual experience with the leatherman tools...

  • LOL @ 9:45

    Nutn whispers "This is cooler!"

  • ok well no offense but this music is from a gay bar i swear to god

  • What are the black tapes for? I notice your Juice S2 has it also...

  • oh man to take that apart and sand it down and put it back together must be such hard project

  • where can i find some duracoat paint?

  • @hellobitch1000 google?

  • @albi131 yea very helpful

  • @hellobitch1000 WTF man? Just type in duracoat in google. First fucking site is selling it! I can't see a fucking problem so wtf?!

  • I think the reason we wont see a Duracoated Letherman from the Factory is that All of these spray on finishes eventually show wear. Leatherman has a 25 year warranty and would no doubt get returns because of the finish starting to wear. It would be seen as a defect and increase their returns which isnt healthy for any company. A better idea would be to do what Cabellas did and offer select finishes on the scales.

  • does the charge AL have a velcro sheath or a snap closure?

  • you can also break off those tiny pins that are inside the torx

  • how much is that duracoat

  • is the cutting edge still sharp after the duracoat?

  • Thoughts on the Leatherman Surge?

  • thts sick! where do u get the duracoat ? is like a special type of spray paint ?

  • so sexy

  • (Please Reply) Where can i get that Gerber case?

  • were do you buy the duracoat? i want to do that to my benchmade mini griptilian. what do you think?

  • How cool would it be if a Leatherman came with a USB thumb drive? I would love that. =)

  • Awesome job. Both durable and "second kind of cool"

    Thanks Nutn'

  • lol @ 2:33, The Leatherman Charge TTi is also my favorite ^^

  • how to ruin a nice multitool....

  • Very Very Nice!

  • most of those "security" bits are just shity drill-outs done by some guy with a drill press. They tend to use soft alloys. I go through them like water.

  • I would seriously send you my Leatherman wave for you to Duracoat it!

  • Dude, nutnfancy, I've been watching your reviews here and there for a couple of months now. I must say after watching this I'm totally convinced you are a madman. However, I mean this in a good way. Now I need you to do me a favor. Review a Bushmaster ACR. hahaha! Please?

  • Just a tip from my automotive painting days. You can use red scotch bright pads to scuff harder to reach areas.

  • Did you say it takes two torx bits?

  • What size of torx tamper resistant bit did you use to remove the slabs? Was it a T10-TR?

  • lol @ duracoating a knife ahaha turned it into a points block of metal now

  • Harbor Freight has 48 piece security bit sets for about $5

  • What's the point of doing this? Seems beyond pointless. Makes it worse in my opinion.

  • Is buying a red car pointless? A blue one? A green one? The point is that he wanted something different and that's exactly what he ended up with.

  • Stainless steel isn't rust proof. I used my Wave fixing sprinklers and it began to rust. The intricacies of the design make removing the rust a pain. Since LM doesn't make a coated charge tti beyond special runs, this might be a good idea. Unfortunately, Nutnfancy doesn't seem to be answering questions about this vid so I can't ask him how the Duracoat is holding up.

  • Point well taken. I have a sailboat and the normal 304 stainless rusts a fair amount in salt water sailing. 316 and higher stays nice and shiny though. I don't know what stainless alloy they use on this thing. there are some nice combination polish/protectants for marine use that might be another option worth considering to protect against rust.

  • "Nutnfancy doesn't seem to be answering questions about this vid so I can't ask him how the Duracoat is holding up." Sorry dude, overwhelmed with new video production, careers, family, friends, and keeping 550 vids going along PLUS emails everyday. My DuraCoated items are holding up WELL including this MT. Slight wear noted in abrasion areas (mostly on the knives I've done) which makes it look cooler. Ask BuggetNuster about his Ontario RAT1 folder I did (and showed)...holding up very well!

  • Thanks for the reply. Good to hear it's holding up!

  • @fastguy45 idk how it would work for rust, but i've heard if you use diet coke for cleaning a blade, it works well

  • @imrandom914 yes any coke product they say it will desolve a t-bone steak in 3 days.

  • Because HE didn't like the color. You need it spelled out for you?

  • what exactly does the duracoating do to the leatherman????

does it give it more strength or what????

  • it looks cool!

an i suppose if your a troop in a combat environment you dont want something flashing around on you

  • I didn't think of that. I guess if you are in the armed forces, a dull color would be preferred if it lessened your chance of getting shot at. Just seems like all that coating would gum up the way it works, not to mention taking a lot of work to do, but to each his own .

  • Duracoat is designed for firearms so if it had a tendency to gum up the works it wouldn't be used by so many reputable companies. I tried some rust protectants on my Wave but the steel is smooth so it becomes rather slippery.

  • If you're looking for security bits, go to your local electrical supply warehouse. You should be able to find them in the YellowPages. I recently purchased a 22 in 1 security bit tool for under $20.

  • wouldn't the paint fill in the detail like the saw or the file? and wouldn't it run(like water)?

  • @john1112112 duracoat is not thin, and if you watched the vid (he talked about it there) he didn't coat the file

  • I was thinking, what if you taped off the places where the washers go when you duracoated it? I think it would be a lot of extra work, but if the washers made contact with the actual metal do you think it would deploy as fast as the original? I don't know much about duracoat honestly, but I've been watching all your vids and I'm starting to really get into all these cool mods.

  • i waited too long to duracoat my leatherman. it rusted very quickly here in the tropics

  • I wish leatherman would offer the Charge TTi in a low gloss black tone :(

  • thanks for this video.... i thaught of taking my wave appart and gold plating the slabs only.....

  • That Charge looks awesome, how about doing just the slabs in Duracoat on your spare one as I think that would be an awesome look and would defo be less time.

  • how much u charge to do my leatherman. seriously

  • wher did u get that lineyard string at

  • @jayracerk It's lanyard smart one

  • very nice job!!

  • N&F could you tell me the ACU sheath reference, I've searched the whole web and nothing, only in black.... :-(

  • I have a leatherman surge. I threw out the instructions for it. Can you show me how to take out the lanyard ring for a surge, if you can, thanks!

  • looks cool hopefully leathman will bring one out

  • hi, what is the bit size of the security torx to disassembly the leatherman?

  • dude wtf?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! u took apart a 100 dallar leatherman tti charge

  • so, it went back together pretty nicely

  • that's what you do when you're a beast like nutnfancy lol

  • Very good video. The editing is slick and adds a professional look. They're getting better and better.

One concern: it looks like you coated the bearing surfaces on the internal tools (knife blades, etc.). That seems like an obvious reason why they're less smooth in deployment. Is it possible to mask off the area around the hinge pin hole and leave it bare metal, so it will still pivot smoothly? It seems like a really bad idea to paint bearing faces.

  • Those DuraCoated knives are spit ugly! It look very amateur....But your videos make up for it.. :)

  • dude. i found the coolest knife today. i am gona review it when i get my camera fixed. it's a SOG trident folder in this digital brown came. it is so sick.

  • the tactical duracoat is a flat color but they also offer a flattening agent to add to all dura coat colors that seems to work very well. also they now offer an SL version of i believe all of there colors SL for self lubricating which is used more for parts sliding together.

  • That's art baby!

  • The funny thing about the Gerber Multi-Tool sheaths found in the Military Clothing Stores on post is that the Gerbers that are issued DO NOT FIT. I had to find that out the hard way. I ended up using a cell phone pouch. (and still do)

  • haha nutn man you must be duracoats #1 customer

  • hey nuntnfancy great vid as always, but i have a question could you (or do you i have not seen one) have a video on how to duracoat something in digital camo colors thanks you put out the best review videos thanks for all you do.

  • it is possible to duracoat in digital camo, the duracoat company offers stencils for just such a project, it will also show you a detailed step by step picture instruction page

  • let dry for several weeks... good lord hope you dont need it for a while...

  • He has several other multi-tools. :)

  • hes got like a billion knives and probly alot of multi tools, lol idont think hele need it.

  • I love how you have 2 of almost everything you own. Makes me happy, and wish I could be like you one day...

Awesome project, keep em comin'. Amazing finish, If I had a Charge, and the time/drive to do it, I would.

I would even pay for someone like you to do a project like that, or just buy the thing that awesome!

    Cheers!

  • Glad to see knife reviews. It's been a while, thank you.

  • I am now wanting to duracoat everything. Where's my wife's cat?

  • Damn that must have been a tough job! Looks excellent! Keep it up bro!

  • that duracoated charge is crazy cool.

    nice job!

  • Nutn, coat that lanyard ring and then it will be perfect! Peace

  • LOL 5 stars for the wukka chsshh

  • Nutn... I think you've talked me into Dura coating my LoneWolf T2... i just gotta do it now. Then I may do some stencil dura coat work on my car, I mean why not?!?!

  • Don't ever give up the knife reviews.

  • that is f***** sweet how much would you charge me for one dc,ed ,,, ps you da man

  • That looks sick!

  • Great video! I'm definitely gonna check with my dealer if they can order some Gerber digital army camo sheathes. Too bad i can't find any duracoat anywhere for my Wave. I think i'll buy a black oxide coated one...

    5/5, bro!

  • You need to DuraCoat your Bushmaster in some Coyote Brown. Think about it.

  • this is porno......!

    i love the music x x x

  • yeh, that music could easily pass the porn music audition!

  • lol it could

  • awesome, you need to do more "how to" vids like this!! Having seen your views on the Charge I'm now torn between a SOG and Charge Tti. This vid is swaying me even more to Leatherman!

  • thats sexy

  • I've thought it would be cool to dura coat my Spyderco Poliwog, but I'm not sure if it would completely jack up it's ball-lock. Am I just paranoid?

  • WOW!!!!

  • That is sweet

  • id love to DuraCoated my ar15 an mossburg

  • thats wicked

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Nutnfancy: I'd really like to see two-toned duracoat. I think that contrasting colors look even cooler than single colors. How about a two-toned knife? Please....that would be way cool.

  • cool idea!

  • Fucking sexy, well done

  • great video nutn. I have always been that guy thats takes things apart just to put it back together again, i just might have to do this too my leatherman... keep up the good work!

  • what is duracoat

is it jsut paint or more

and does it ruin the blades

  • Check out his other vids.

  • nice work nutnfancy

  • So what your trying to say is if you have a multi tool you want dura coated send it to nutnfancy? haha

  • this guy would duracoat his dog if she stood still long enough.

  • Don't give him any ideas!!!

  • Awesome videos but it would be great to see you use a different color for your duracoat projects.

  • nutnfancy could make a 20 minute review of a paper bag and make it interesting if he wanted to.

  • @djbro16

    duracoating a paperbag :D

  • It looks great, but I would worry about dropping it.

  • I admit it if I were to break that down I would get lost. So many small parts, cool modification.

  • aweome, great job!

  • love the sound effects at: 5:07

  • I don't really like that 710, I'd prefer it if the blade was that darker color, and the pocket clip was a darker color too. But whatever floats your boat man. 5/5.

  • nice work

  • haha my favorite line;

    "it's a nightmare project"

  • no ne fav. line;

    this is cooler haha

  • "nightmare project" sounds about right. Looks good, though.

  • wow awesome as always sir keep up the great work

  • it looks like I will be buying some equipment to duracoat. Great vid, keep em conig.

  • i got a question. What does DuraCoating something do for it?

  • makes it look cool and protects it from the elements

  • very very cool factor!

  • those knives look easy to lose outdoors.

  • good job man.

  • that ACU pouch from Gerber looks a-w-s-o-m-e!

  • Just curious to know if you've done a loadout/ chest rig vid. Looking at Chris Costa and the Dynamic Magpul guys, they suggested a light, easily transitional rig, sling, that gives the most while weighing the least. Secondly, is a plate carrier mandatory or can it be optional? In a WROL situation will you need one? Will you need to raid/assault a position and is there a preferred loadout for such. If you've already made a vid, please disregard, if not, could you make one. Thanks.

  • I'm sure Leatherman does NOT like that their tool is in an knock off gerber pouch.

  • looks good dude! the supertool is basicly the core with removable/changable wire cutters and the sides are cut out a bit, only diff from the core.

  • That would be funny

  • When I die, I want to be duracoted by nutnfancy.

  • i was gonna cry about about you not coating the lanyard hole, but i kept watching and found out that you might do it..COOL, DO IT!!!

  • does duricoat make things more durable or something? jw

  • I like a good combat knife with the bayonet clip to mount to an AR-15

  • damn nutnfancy duracoats everything. lol. next he'll be duracoating his car. the leatherman looks good though

  • Another great duracoat vid...Just got my SOG Aegis with tanto blade thanx to your review i had to have one.Nutnfancy would you duracoat it for me it if i sent it to you

  • I've got a bunch of black Pmags I'd like to duracoat to FDE. How well does duracoat stick to flexing polymer?

  • Eh. Depends on how much you 'flex' them.

It'll stick just fine, just sand it a little.

But it WILL crack and split if you actually 'flex' them. But then again there's pretty much no spray on coat that wouldn't. Under normal conditions it'd work just fine though!

  • leathermans are freakin awsome.

proper hard heavy duty adventure tools.

    awsome.

  • i found a leatherman micra way back in the storage at my house and it has a perfect finish, pretty lucky find and it was on accident

  • THE LINK IS BROKEN: FOR THE The Leatherman Charge Ti

  • I hate ACUs, but they do blend in well within a woodland environment, in the snow.

  • I would never duracoat any of my equipment! I respect the decision of anyone who does though. You've done a wonderful job, Nutin. Though I just don't see why. Duracoating just doesn't make a lick of sense to me.

  • nice!

  • i went to click pause and hit the two star rating it was an accident i feel like a traitor

  • Just tell the truth, you've been dreaming of duracoating your wedding band havent you?! Haha, J/K. Love this stuff, keep up the vids man...even the small stuff.

  • straight up beatboxing at 2:30

  • Comment removed

  • Oh wow,Nutnfancy,it's beautiful!

  • Outstanding vid! I could never do that. Don't have the patience. You should start a side business and offer to do that for other people. I'd pay for it! Take care...

  • Nice vid Nutnfancy, BUT you could've grease or use loob to the parts so they won't get sticy IMO... Or could use powder paint that way it'll be electrical charged to the metal so it won't stick... But it's awsome!!!
