If you watch the performance and see the scripture at the end, you see her quoting Jesus when he said, "Whatever you did for the least of my brothers, you did it to me." I always believed she was pointing out this means the good AND the bad we do. We can heal our brothers and we can also crucify them.

These places were described in Vedic scripture but nobody could find them until recently. Now they know it comes from India. @theyuha don't flatter yourself... Hinduism is a religion based on Vedas, but Vedas were originally simply old teaching of old faith (never religion) and "knowledge" (veda. "Dvarka" is pure slavic word and still today means "doors - gates" (into the stars)). Krishna was simply called Hristna, Krstna - his name is also not pure sanskrit word.. and means "enliven one, incarnated god". The word was to later Osirian Egypt derived as "Krst". Osiris's Krst - and in Byzantium became known as "Christ"

@VendPrekmurec Christ was a vegetarian--like the rest of the Essenes and his ideas were more like the Vedic ideas but when Rome converted to Christianity they re-wrote the Bible leaving out everything related to reincarnation and vegetarianism. This may have been the original scripture, what we have now is pretty messed up.

It says at the end "What you have done to the least of my brothers, you have done to me." This is why she is on the cross, to show that what we do to HIV orphans, abused children, mentally ill, poor urban youth (from the prelude to this song), we do to Jesus. The lamentations of the downtrodden sung by Jesus - very Christian! Not satanic

When Madonna took this aproach to get her message across she was very misunderstood. I remember churches hearing about her on the cross with the crown of thorns and reacting without viewing it. If you watch the performance and see the scripture at the end, you see her quoting Jesus when he said, "Whatever you did for the least of my brothers, you did it to me." I always believed she was pointing out this means the good AND the bad we do. We can heal our brothers and we can also crucify them.
