  • das ist Triebwagen von Stadler GTW,Switzerland ,in Europe

  • Even in Austin there is a metrorail system... San Antonio should make one of these.

  • omg the noise is killing me... why America, why?

  • @innsbronx ... paranoia and liability concerns. That's why. :)

  • everything in austin moves like a snail. if i go there i get mad and usually pull over and scream and cuss

  • what state is this and what city

  • @SuperVillaTube this is the commuter rail of austin, texas.

  • This is a Stadler GTW DMU (Diesel-Electric-Multiple-Unit). It's heavy-rail and not light-rail....

And I have no idea how neighbors and passerbys can stand this horrible noise. I'd sue the company that operates them!

We have the very same trains in my area in Central Europe and they are far from being that loud.

  • I am about to commit suicide. Live at manor road intersection and THEY HAVE STILL YET TO FIX THE INTERSECTION to allow for no horn. They promised 70 days. Now at 150 days with no evidence of mediation.

  • @arsenalroo don't you dare! I am all for light rail and clean air. I love Transit Orietned Development. Make the San Antonio area nice and clean, get rid of the gangs, and make the city safe and user friendly!

  • My God that thing is slow... and what is it doing in the middle of the street? It's light rail!

  • This is neither light rail, or a tram. This is a commuter rail. Abiet a bit different than LA's MetroLink or Dallas's TRE.

  • @SolForceJxn2

It runs on the same type of rail as the regular freight trains. its official classification is Commuter Rail. Official type: Diesel Multiple Unit.. They would have gotten it off the ground if they purchase colorado Rail Cars DMU instead of this from Switzerland.

for the Record, Portlands Commuter rail uses the colorado Rail Cars DMU.

  • @danielday36 I'm fast becoming a fan of these types of trains. I know that Dallas is constructing a commuter rail to Denton, Texas and will be using these types of trains. I also know that San Diego uses the Sprinter which is a variation of the Stadler trains. I love them. Their design is perfect. Not big. Not small. Some US cities like Phoenix, Atlanta, and Denver should really look into these.

  • @SolForceJxn2 One Correction. DART is expanding our light rail to Carrollton and then the DCTA of Denton is going to meet at our station and they are the ones who will be using these cars. Eventually once DART opens the Cotton Belt ine we will also have these cars.

  • I agree. This is not a train , it's a tram. Train should be much longer...

  • plz tell me this goes faster then this?? it look like it is to slow?

  • @ver4534 down town is crowded. you go slow when leaving a crowded station

  • plz

  • I rode it Monday and yesteday (Friday)...

    Very crowded.

  • these are the same trains as used in some place in the netherlands:P they only changed the paintingXD

  • it's not a metro, it is a tramway.

A metro has its own site to run like in Chicago or in New York or London and Paris.

  • need this train make so much noise? i can hear this thing roll by at night and it sounds like a freight train, i guess this is "light " rail texas style

  • @BevoFan1883 no at houston,tx theres metro rail and the train is quiet.
