I use a ps3 for most of our internet/ TV browsing needs and it works beautifully, I have had some exposure to a simiar system and wouldn't consider it "people" friendly for the techno-illiterate . I don't use netflicks, don't mind having to switch between components on my TV and don't own a DVR (which if I did I might consider buying one). For 250+ I will definitely wait until they aren't so pricey.

Is it really worth 200-300 dollars? most people can plug their computer into their tv via vga, s-video, or even hdmi now. You can get a wireless keyboard and a tv card for your computer and you are golden. I guess this uses less power and takes up less space.
