  • Thanks :)

  • This was done on a iPod nano 4g.. This method works on all iPod touches as well as I've done it myself and seen it working. I also believe that it works on iPhones

  • THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH ITOUCHES. he's using the classic (i think). The newer ipods prevent you from doin that because apple's afraid of music piracy...and because they're assholes

  • @TheFrancsBand Never mind, scratch that lol

  • stupid question i know but i got the songs in there, but how do i move the stupid things around??

  • i downloaded a plug in so u can load songs from wmp to ur ipod. i put the songs i wanted on syn, but then it started doin all the songs on wmp.

  • YOU FUCKING LEGEND

  • how can i manage manually an ipod shuffle?? pls answer tnx...

  • Whenever I drag-click music onto my iPod Touch, I get a 'no entry' cursor. What gives?

  • double check that you have set your ipod to manually manage.. also make sure you have enoigh space left on your ipod

  • I tried restoring my iPod instead, and now I can add music manually. Go figure. *shrugs*

  • ok well i lost all my music on our old hardrive wen it crashed, so no music os on my new hardrive. I've already done the whole manually manage ipod, but i have no songs to drag, or do i???? HELP PLZZZ

  • Unfortunately as the music was wiped from the harddrive it will now be totally erased. If u hav anyway music on the iPod stil, even with manually manage on, u will still not be able to get the original files off. You could get an iPod ripper but some of the latest models of iPod do not suppourt them. Hope this helps!

  • thanks man, thats wat i was afraid wld happen...thanks for tha trouble

  • i do not have music under my ipod's name!! what do i do??

  • and when you wanna take the music off how do you do that?

  • click on music under your ipods name on the left hand side of itunes... click the song you want to delete and press he delete key on your keyboard

  • im tryin to move music from my ipod to the library

    help please

  • Download iDump.. brilliant

  • This is actually the best video/explanation on how to do this on the internet by far. You have taught me something that Ive been trying to figure out for about 3 years (im not stupid, just like to procrastinate). Alot of other people dont explain it well or suggest using programs to get all your music off your ipod into your new computer. I have to say thank you so much for this, its been a big help!

  • where do i see the part where i get to delete songs on my iPod?

  • set your ipod to manually manage as explained in the video then click on music under your ipod on the left menu bar then find the song to delete.. click on the song and press the delete button

  • can you put photos even though the box is checked for manually manage music?will it delete my entire library

    ?

  • no it's fine just click on the photos section of your ipod and theres a little sync box in the bottom right corner

  • i just bought a new computer and i want to put the songs on my ipod onto this computer. I just downloaded itunes for this computer and if i plug in my ipod will it delete all the songs because there is no way to get to the screen that says manually manage music without plugging in an ipod. So is it safe for me to plug it in? and will my songs get deleted? Thanks

  • Hi, it will come up with a message first when you plug your ipod in saying do you want to sync this ipod to this itunes library. Click no and then select the manually manage option regarding the video.

  • Can you undo the deletion from letting itunes delete music that is not on your library?

  • If you manually manage your ipod you dont even have to put the music in your library you can simply drag a song sriaght from my music onto your ipod. This way theres no way of itunes deeting music because its now stored on the ipod..

  • My ipod is currently set to manage music manually. I want to add a note to my ipod, and this requires me to uncheck the manually manage music box.

If i uncheck it and my ipod syncs to my library will i lose my friend's songs since they're NOT in my library?

  • nope shouldnt do as long as the songs are on the ipod and you have it on manually manage

  • Sorry, but if I UNCHECK the "manually manage music" box, WILL MY IPOD DELETE THE SONGS ON MY IPOD THAT ARE NOT ON MY LIBRARY?

  • yes they will be deleted

  • ive clicked it put its still not working?

  • when you drag where do you drop it off?

  • thank you so much i asked my m8 and he said the manual box thing but i couldn't find it and this helped alot thankyou

  • i undertsand it but the only way i can drag songs is to put them on a playlistthen drag them and when i drag them over the ipod logo it never syncs. can you help me?

  • i think the best thing to do is to remove all your songs and playlists and start again.. i think theres probaly an error, try searching it up if you havnt already

  • on the ipod or itunes?

  • personally if your not manually managing atm just remove all songs out of your itunes...

then wipe your ipod, add the songs back in and this should be okay

off the top of my head thats all i can think of atm! sorry

  • shank yuu ^^

  • thanks just done it on my iPhone 3G it does save the hassle of having to switch to my vista boot as my itunes libary is on that but i mainly use my xp boot as its quiker than vista

  • Thank you dude! I saved 1.5gb space on my Ipod Touch. It was full of every mp3 sound on my system, it even had GTA sounds on it XD Thanks again. Very easy to use and if any of you have dupes, just go under file and click show duplicates.

  • I there, I have a question. I properly follow your vid and it won't works.. I check the music list under the iPod icon, still the music isn't there... help me please...

  • sorry really dont know on this one then...

i think the best way around it would be to get software called 'yamipod'. This is an easier way of putting music onto your ipod without using itunes

  • hey can i download songs from like frostwire or lime wire onto my ipod touch 2g, or not would appretiate it if you could hep. By the way great video! :)

  • Hey, yup download some songs, go on itunes, on your itunes library click file then add music to library. Find the songs then follow the instructions on the video! Hope it helped!

  • how do i manually delete?

  • Click music underneath your ipods name on the left hand side of itunes. This will then come up with all your music on your ipod. Click on the song you want to delete and press the delete key on your keyboard.

  • Hi, thanks...

  • thanx i really need this

i spent countless hours trying to put my music onto my friends ipod

  • it was that easy!!! Doh! had me puzzled for hours!!!

    nice 1!

  • Great help thanks...but i cant seem to move music into my playlists?! when i move it onto the playlist it doesnt sync only goes into my main libery, not my playlists?

  • that helped alot i never new that! ty =)

  • thanks this helped alot

  • Okay i did everything u told me to but when i clicked manually manage music. My ipod keeps saying "do not disconnect" and its been like 48 hours. Please help!!

  • yes,it will keep saying that im afraid, but when you are done you will have to manually safeley remove it like you do to any other usb device. If you dont know how to safely remove the ipod comment back!

  • how do you safely remove it?

  • You have to safeley remove it just like you do when you are safely removing a memory stick or something usb.

  • If the itunes screen isn't coming up on it's own go onto itunes manually and then find the option to make it come up automatically. I cant help you with any other problems untill u spectify what is wrong!

  • after syncing your music, there is a small icon at the botton right of the screen, looks kinda like an "eject" button,

  • does this work wit another ipod my friend got one but he dont have a computer when he puts his on mine its says to erase and sync my songs but we got different music tastes so how does he get wat he wants without having my songs

  • hi,when that message comes up just press cancel and then do what the video tell you. Click on manually manage music and videos. Then go to your libray and drag the song's onto the 'your friends ipod on the left column.

  • thx man helped alot i hate that we had the same songs lol but thx again
