Okay, let me tell you that this tablet is only good for the students, who are are not aware of the new technology ....So to be frank I as a gadget freak I don't like this Aakash Tablest...But I liked another Tablet from the new company which is making its mark ie iberry...Their product is really good..It is android 2.4 Gingerbread, grt quality, pr-installed android market...I recommend iberry tablet.. and the best thing is it is also cheap...What else do we want.....

If they really wanted the kids to benefit they should release something like E-ink reader, something similar to amazon reader or something. Easy on eyes to read texts, this cheap tablet makes this worse for the users.. honestly..it looks useless, its slow and unresponsive which makes it really hard to use, I know the natural question would be what do I expect for its price point? but all I am saying is government could have used the budget more wisely on a E-ink reader with physical controls.

Aakash Is Worst . When Some one Buy it after that he realize that they have wasted money. But the result performance was too too weak bcoz of price. Dear just think what comes in just 1500 so they have launched a tablet that lets give user a cheapest tablet no one points to Performance Just Matters the Price. But according to me if it is Very low in performance why to waste 1500 also.

I am using one EXIRIA Tablet Which is Cost me 15000 But its performance is Like Apple,Amazing with 8" Screen.

With 10 to 20 times less price of available tablets in market and it seems so good in so many aspects. For $50 dollars its more than worth its price .......what you want a supercomputer with virtual mouse for that price in your palm???

it'll take time for them to develop a more bug free and better tablet and still keeping the price cheap!! this is so amazing it can seriously change the style of studying in classroom, it would be so awsome, students would just have all books on a flash drive connect it to tablet and study, no heavy bags for students, so much better for people who cannot afford ipads and bb tablets. education would be flowing more easily in rural parts of our country as well wow we actually are progressing.

I was thinking that why dnt they invest 2 or 3 thousand more and improve its speed or made it capacitive touch screen they can put a different version of worth 100 dollers or more if they do so i am damn sure it will be the most selling digital device in india..it will attract people frm three areas (TV,Lappies, cell phone)..it just need some modifications and investment .

Its just the preview version of the tablet, now the final version is out and the performance is better, however the Aakash 2(Ubislate7) is available for Rs500 more and

1) Capacitive Touchscreen

2) 700Mhz processor (vs 366MHZ)

3) 3200 mAh battery(vs 2100mAh)

So its better to wait for it till January end
