Yeah, sad but true, he never really got back after that accident. Shame, he had a lot of potential as a wrestler. Could've and in all fairness should've been AT LEAST Intercontinental champion, if not WWE Champ.
He was supposed to win the IC title twice. Both times he was injured. Once was a storyline injury, the other was legit. I remember when he was in WCW and he was jobbing to the likes of Jerry Flynn. The parasailing accident derailed him completely.
Yeah, that was sad the way WCW misused Brutus and so many others eg Stone Cold Steve Austin. If anyone other than Bischoff had been running the company I think there might have been a different and better result.
Bischoff did wonders for WCW, but he was just as bad as Ole Anderson when it came to booking. WCW has a long list of wasted talent. Tom Zenk, Brian Pillman, Steve Austin, Brad Armstrong, Chris Jericho, Chris Beniot, and even Beefcake. They let too many wrestlers run the show.
Yeah they did, they had a record for that all the way back to the NWA days though. In my opinion it's always a mistake to let an active wrestler run the company, he's going to act in his own self interests more often than not. I'm looking at you Flair & Dusty Rhodes! Both awesome wrestlers, but terrible at running the show.
Actually, according to him they already had him booked for a run as WWE champ between runs as IC champ. But, that's according to him on the internet, so, it may or may not be totally reliable information.
Like I said, for whatever that's worth. BTW, not a guy, thanks, :)
I think if they had made him world champion he'd have only been a seat warmer champion to drop the title to someone else at a later date, like Ronnie Garvin or something.
And god knows ronnie hands of srone was the man!!! Seriously wwf signed garvin to squash him. He beat flair earlier in nwa for the title and was more of a personal swipe to the nwa.
Yeah, and apparently Ronnie needed the cash because he went for it, kind of sad, he was another underrated and misused wrestler. I'd have loved to have seen Garvin get a real push as champ, just to see what he could do. I'd also have loved to have seen what Magnum T.A. could've done if he hadn't been hurt and put out of the business before thirty.
Actually North Carolina Highway Patrol said road conditions were to blame for the accident, not Magnum's fault at all. Not that that gives him his career back or anything.
okay you dumb americans thia ia fake as hell it sucks and it's freaking gay, don't say it's a tuff sport or such thing, it's just fake and gay!!!!

Anyone got more Brutus Beefcake clips?
Does anyone have where he finally finished shaving Lucious Johnny V's hair.
Or even putting out Outlaw Ron Bass?
They made a tribute to Tom Zenk using the Sleeper, can anoyone put one together for Beefcake?

Brutus is a big guy... but he has so much speed

I was a huge Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake fan. I loved the way he knocked opponents out and then woke them up with a shot to the back of the head.
Does anyone have other classic Beefcake squash matches, or the matches with the Honky Tonk Man? or Johnny Valiant?
Thanks.
