The whole was drilled near the Kerum river in Papua New Guinea, the Kerum river runs into the Sepic river which is located near Wewak on the north shore line. The hole was drilled to a depth of 3000 metre, nothing found.
At the time this was the biggest pivately owned drilling company in Australia, since sold out to Century drilling many years ago. Went by the "' Rockdril pty ltd"
@payroll6278 Mosquitoes were horrrendous as was every other living insect in the area, matisus 6 to 10 inches long, giant golf ball size flying bettles that seem to love to chase you!!!! dont know why. Then night shifts with the light s were pretty bad humidity 100% plus. We were all on medication to protect against malaria, I was one of very few who did no t contract it.

NVM about the drilling company lol. Where was this well and how deep? I imagine mosquitoes were a problem ay?
