While this is cute...it could be dangerous. Since you didn't scold the dog for doing this...now it thinks it can do this to others too. Trying to take things from their hands or mouths. Right off the bad when you noticed the dog fixated on the plate...you should have said something. It's obvious that the dog was going to get that sandwich sooner or later...the dog needs to be trained more.

Any dog that steals food from a human has no respect for that human. The dog views it's self as higher in the "pack" order of the household than the child. That can be dangerous...

@loxyred Any material sent to AFV becomes the sole and exclusive property of AFV. You have to be very careful with legal copyright stuff like that and always read the "fine print." I'm sure a lot of people send videos into AFV without realizing that they're literally giving away something that they own.  Although you'll never see this video on AFV, a side-project of mine is getting it onto the Ellen DeGeneres show ; )

The dog pretty much told everyone what it's intentions were through body language. Sometimes you do have to be careful depending on the dog. Allowed to do things like this, the dog could easily overwhelm a kid in a situation that isn't so funny. So yeah .. it's funny ... but I wouldn't continue to let the dog hang over people while they are eating.

Can we see the next clip were the dog attacks the youngster? It certainly got the encouragement from the lady (pack leader) who sat and did nothing while the dog elevated itself in status above the child. Not good..

While this may appear cute & funny, you are setting this dog up to have dominance issues. A dog should NEVER take food from a human unless it is offered to it. And the dog should stay off of the sofa ESPECIALLY when you are eating.

You're lucky if you have a sweet, gentle dog but he should not be so close to people when people are eating, and certainly not at the same height. He has to know that he does not get food when people eat, then you don't get annoying, drooling dogs during meals or the other end of the scale - dominance. And parents, please don't follow this example. Show your big, adult dog that you protect your small, vulnerable child.
