I love this game. Gameplay, the graphics and in-game minimalistic art-style were prefect. But it was too short, linear and the story was cliché, and oh absolutely despised the animation cut-scenes.

Fix those problems, expand the unarmed combat and you have my idea of a perfect Mirror's Edge sequel.

A few moments in BF3 that reminded me of this game. I think DICE took some of the textures from ME and placed 'em about BF3. Even some gameplay elements. The slide and jump over barriers. The fact you can see your legs. Both a excellent looking games.

how about saying something about sucky controls and the fact that there are places you die thousand times to finally get through , you know just for the tip you might consider making a game that people can actually succeed depending on their skills rather than knowing whats a head because of the trillion times you had to repeat that part ... the idea is awesome but the execution is fucked up i'd give it 6out of 10 just for the nice try .

This is a perfect case of how the market is ruled by the "hype over quality formula" in PC Gaming. Here we have an outstanding game that is one of the most atmospheric and immersive experiences ever, and yet, comes overlooked by a long shot... If DICE could add Multiplayer servers with 1vs1 or more capability, More complex gun use, and a longer story, then we'd have the perfect package. And frankly, I don't doubt they can do it.

I just pasted few youtubelinks to my facebook from this game. I´ve drank few shots of vodka now and i get shivers of looking Mirror´s edge videos. It is damn fine game.

Doesn´t have replay value much. That is shame. Anyhow.

I personally thought this was a very informative review, he pretty much said everything that was bad about this game and what was good about it. I loved the game for it's visual style and the gameplay but like the review I hated the combat, some of the bland levels and boring story. I really hope dice makes a sequel, mirror's edge 2 on the frostbite 2 engine would be eyegasm.

The music in this game is superb, as is the gameplay (with the exception of combat). The game forces you to become adept with the controller, which is a refreshing change from the fakey "levelling up" of skill that you do in RPG-type games. And this game actually made my hands sweat, which is always a good sign.

But the reviewer here has got a few points too, its like a work in progress, the concepts and mechanics have got to be flushed out more. We gotta be thankful instead of just bland rage for DICE because they had the developer skill and the financial balls to even put a game like this out to show us how amazing it can be.

I get what ign is saying about how combat is clunky. I do really wish that they took a little more time into the combat BUT the game isnt about the combat. Yes their are some times when you need to shoot people which isnt that fun but still its about the freerunning. Even though it did sometimes seem repetitive.

I actually like this game. combat was clunky because it wasn't the main asset of mirror's edge's gameplay. What you're supposed to do is disarm an enemy and take its gun, then run away from most of the enemy's and only shoot the ones that are blocking your path or would disrupt your pace.
