  • This clip only makes me feel even more in awe of him. He fought tooth and nail to get his films made on his terms and never gave up even though this is how he felt. Amazing. He left behind so much breathtaking art. I hope there's a heaven and that he is looking down and smiling at how much people love him and his work.

  • Amazing little clip. You truly can see his sadness here as he retrospects on his life. his marginalization from Hollywood truly was a tragedy. Ironic he was such a Shakespearean character in his own right. Bigger than life. RIP.

  • The self knowledge of a true artist,struggling to exist in a world of profit obsessed superficial philistines;

    Plus ca change..!

    Better to have a beautiful obsession than an ugly destructive one.

  • Orson Wells you played the part most suited for you and the one by which you will be remebered

  • no ti is powerfull and truthful yes we see the real person but he is able to say what all around him

    were jokeing and saying ti took a real man to say the true about them self not many are able or willing

  • Bah, this documentary makes me sick. They portray Welles as a sad, egoistical, cynical and destructive person just as Hearst. Go and read "This is Orson Welles" to know his life better

  • Did we see the same doc?! This is frm "With Orson Welles" and it ran on TNT several years back. Yes, those flaws in his characer come through, but they're overwhelmed by the artistic brilliance, emotional insight, and love of life that you can't help appreciating when Orson makes his case for himself throughout.

  • *sigh* If only he had lived today in the days of cheap digital HD camera and independant advertising/production/distribution via the internet.

  • wow... oh my gos...
