Barbie represented the traditional american doll, and unfortunate that was only doll that was sold in stores for little girls, but I could not relate to the white doll, it was a toy, a skinny white doll with long yellow hair. Also lip liner is a good product to use on you lips not sure if you did, if not watch some lip liner tutorial to learn how to line you lips, which colors work with lip colors.
Keep working on your technique, you don't have it yet & practice will help you to improve. Blending & Brushes are your friend also some eyeshadow you can't take close to the corners of you eyes by the nose area. But keep practicing you will get there.

When this Ytuber completed her makeup ..she simply nailed it ...plain and simple , no one could argue the point..she even took me back ..and believe me its been a while since Ive played with my Barbies.I just did not get the same feeling upon the completion of this tut. Its not that she's too dark, thats a ridiculous comment to make. i am that same complexion, black is beauty, the darker the skin then the deeper the roots. the honest fact about this and probably why there are so many remakes, is the simple fact that she has far too much make-up on. in my opinion she over does it with too many bright colors that do not compliment her skin instead create a negative contrast. she's beautiful anyway and does not need makeup !

I am happy that u are doing a black barbie tutorial, but those frosted shades do not fit dark complexions. Also if u are using those bright colours on ur eyes ur lips should be neutral. I love the fact that u are experimenting with different looks, that is how we learn, by trying new things.

If I had your skin tone I would use dramatic color on either my eyes or my lips not both as that looks clownish. I think the worst part of your 'look' is the lips - they look big and shapeless. I think you should either wear lip gloss and build up color with lip liners or wear a darker shade of lipstick.

This look isn't the most flattering on your skin tone. I'm a few shades lighter than you but even I can't use bright pinks. It makes me look like I have a moustache. I think reds, golds and browns will suit you nicely.
