  • so which one is a better camrea and which one is better for videosthe canon rebel eos t2i or t3i and after u edited it all up put ur effects and mastered the video wht is ur export opinions MOV MPEG-1 or 2 H26.

  • @DBelleMusic Hey, thanks for watching. :)

The main difference between the T2i (550D) and T3i (600D) is the rotatable screen on the back. If you're using your DSLR primarily for video, I would highly recommend the T3i. When shooting on the T2i, you'll quickly notice how much a rotatable screen comes in handy. Shots like in this video, where the cat is on the ground, it was impossible to see the screen without lying on the ground too. Being able to tilt the screen up will benefit you no end.

  • @DBelleMusic

Once I had edited the video in Final Cut, I exported it as a Quicktime file using the H.264 codec at the highest possible quality.

  • Hey nice video,

I have the same problem with my 550d glitching, how do you fix this problem because it's really annoying xD

    Thanks

  • @dancecraze5 Hey.

The glitching in this video occurred in the upload to youtube, as my wifi signal was interrupted half way through the upload. If you're getting the same problem when uploading, check your router connection or try plugging your computer in using an ethernet cable.

If the glitching problem is occurring upon playback straight out of the camera, try transcoding it to a lower resolution and play it again. Your computer may not be able to playback the original 1080p happily.

  • @sheltorx ok thanks man I'll try that. :D

  • This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, I think I'm in love

  • Allright cool beans man. I'll see what I can do. thanks for your time man. I really apprerciate it. :D

  • Hey man... So I tried out what you said I should do and it worked and everything... well kinda. It allowed me to play on windows media player and stuff. But the whole video seemed very very slow. There was no buffering, it was all smooth but it seemed like it was in slow motion. The audio, however, was playing at regular speed while video was playing at a slow speed. So when the audio ended, the video kept on playing. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks man.

  • @LamboLP564 If it's playing HD video it could be because your computer's graphic card can't take playing back such high quality video. Have you also tried this with other footage? because it could be to do with some corrupt footage.

  • @LamboLP564 Perhaps if you're playing HD it could be your graphics card struggling to keep up. I'd have a play with the export settings from Final Cut if it plays fine within Final Cut. It would simply be a matter of finding settings that work for you. Also, I'd check to see if the same problem works with other footage from the same camera in case this footage is corrupt.

  • Oh ok... I'll try that and see if it works. I'll let you know if it does. Thanks a ton for your help. :DDDDDD

  • Yea... there is. And it is installed on my comp. I open up the program and I can edit the video and everything... but then when I go to save it as a different file type, it takes forever. Like a really really long time. Even for the shortest videos.

  • @LamboLP564 I use the "EOS Utility" > "Lets you select and download images" option. Then just download it. The files that come through from there, find them in your documents, and should work fine. I bring them into Final Cut, which renders them and exports out a final edit of a .MOV file, which has always worked uploading to Youtube.

  • I'm getting the files from my camera. It is a Canon Rebel T2i... and yes it is an HDD camera that takes videos.

    Oh ok. I see.

  • @LamboLP564 Hmm, that's strange. I just checked mine and I have the same types of files but everything works fine for me on my mac. Perhaps there was a disc that came with the camera that you need to install onto your computer so it can understand the files properly?

  • @LamboLP564 Most programs can't cope with the resolution size these cameras produce at full 1920x1080 HD. You'll probably be better converting the files to a more managable .avi with a lower resolution - 1440x1080 or smaller. Only something like Premiere CS5 running on windows 64bit will be able to handle the full resolution of 1920x1080.

  • @sheltorx this guys right, im just lucky i have a great laptop

runs everything perfect and not a crappy apple product either haha

  • No... when I click on the properties of the video it says "Type of file: QuickTime Movie".

The name of the file is "MVI_0049". That is the name the camera gives it I guess.

  • @LamboLP564 Where are you getting the files from? Are they from a DVD or from a video camera? If so, are you transferring a mini DV tape to digital, or is it an HDD camcorder?

MVI, which is part of that filename suggests it's recorded as a DVD-player read-only file.

  • Umm. It is a type I've never really heard of. In the video's properties it says it is a "QuickTime Movie"

If I try to upload the video on youtube. It just says that youtube doesn't support the file type. It says the same kinda thing when I try to watch it on windowsmedia player. It just says that the media player does not support that type of file.

The file size is 269 MB

  • @LamboLP564 Is there a dot after the filename? e.g. .MOV anything that'll say what the filetype is?

Also, are there any dots or dashes or other symbols in the filename? e.g. Name.OfFile.avi

  • K man... love the video. But I need some help... I have the same camera... but I can't upload the videos on the internet or anything... I tried to watch them using windowsmedia player but it still won't let me. Any suggestions?

  • @LamboLP564 Hi Lambo, thanks for the comment. It's really appreciated.

What type of file are you trying to upload? wmv? avi? mov? mp4?

Also, are you getting an error message when uploading, or does it just stay at 0%? Or does it get half way and get stuck?

Finally, what's the size of the file?

  • Such beautiful view, love the cat. Gosh almost all tubers seem to have that cam nowadays, This is the second video today I just come across like that. I want mine, lol!

  • @YOZcreative Thanks! Yes, it seems like a really popular camera. The quality is amazing for the price I suppose, which is why it's being used so much. I love the depth of field.

  • Oh wow, you are awesome!!! <3 I didn't even notice you had another channel! <3 and I watched your vlog a billion times... hum....

  • @TheIhatecreatinguser haha i watch it aswell, i thought the way he acted was quite clever. had no idea you had 2 channels but its amazing.

  • @LSUxProductions I'm glad I found this channel, I like it a lot!!! I actually have 3 channels now!!! I'm going to make a little shout out to my third channel tonight! <3 I like keeping busy!

  • @LSUxProductions Thanks for the comment! :)

  • @TheIhatecreatinguser Thanks! Yes, I've got a few now. Hopefully I'll push them all together soon and it'll all be a little clearer.

  • Very professional as always. No comments as its 100% pure brilliance, no one can top that!

  • Some nice shots and a good choice of new equipment Rob. Just be wary of artifacting in lower light areas, as with any camera the more light the better! :)

  • @duncanbirnie Thanks for the tip. :)

  • Awwwwww your cat is sooooooo sweet :D, really nice shots used.

  • @xxjesseeyorexx Thanks. It means a lot. I'll let the cat know. :)
