  • @xiquetep *the guy striking the karate pose is the voice of spike

  • What alot of people dont know is the black guy at the part of "whats up" is the voice for jet and the girl at "sweet cakes" is the voice of faye and the guy striking the karate pose is the voice of jet

  • @gertgrg if you have the DVD you have to set it to English in the audio options

  • Where did you get the English version of the movie? I only found Japanese with subs.

  • The guy at 1:07 looks like Kurt Cobain

    *praises god of grunge* :D

  • @TheGrungeGamer dude i thought the same thing.

  • @TheGrungeGamer dude thats what i thought when i first saw that bit.

  • Did I just see someone dressed like they're gonna "do the creep" @ 1:21

If so, then I'm gonna go listen to The Lonely Island now after seeing him "dressed like a certified creeper". Haha :D

  • This is anime done right.

  • Looks more like the Ending

  • Voice actors in order of appearance:

    Beau Billingslea (Jet) - 1:08 ("What's up...")

Wendee Lee (Faye) - 1:10 ("Sweet cakes?")

Steve Blum (Spike) - 1:15 ("Anyway?")

  • Spike Speigel, definite idol of mine.

  • It really looks like they've rotascoped over live action to create the look for this title sequence. It's not like the look of the rest of Bebop. They've either Rotascoped it or if not, paid extreme attention to detail on live reference footage. Oh and neat song too.

  • 0:48 BOB MARLEY

    1:16-1:18 MEL GIBSON

    1:21-1:24 WOODY ALLEN (?)

  • @animationeer Not really Woody Allen...more like someone who inspired Andy Samberg to dress like Ned Flanders & go "doing the creep".

  • 1.16 " karate guy" ...... hello Mel Gibson ? :D

  • Yoko Kanno, the Mozart of anime, strikes again! The woman is a flat-out genius. Everything she writes you're positive you've heard the song before, until halfway through the song, you realize you haven't! That's how good she is. The Seatbelts sadly disbanded, but, thankfully, Mrs. Kanno is still around, and still amazing. Check out her work on Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. if you haven't heard it...

  • everybody is a space cowboy no dislikes!

  • Hey! cool Vid... by any chance do you know the name of the song in the scene where they are figthing in Jets?????? thanks!

  • @Dinocoviola It's been a while since i've seen the movie, so I'm not sure which (most jazz sounds the same to me) but the song is either: Clutch, or: What Planet is This (I'm pretty sure it's What Planet is This)

  • @Dinocoviola I could be wrong but I think the song is: Clutch

  • @pr0pr0 the one im talking about Its "What planet is this". Very Cooooool! im so very greatfull!!!! im going to download it right now.!

  • 0 dislikes, bitches. Hahaha

  • Yo (MSG2SEXY)

  • The guy who shrugs at 1:23 is so weirdly cute

  • @OswaldtheFourth

I know. I love how he shrugs his shoulders after the singer says "Earth girls are easy." It's like he's saying, "I dunno about that."

Maybe he hasn't got much luck with those Earth girls lately. XD

  • @OswaldtheFourth I just don't see it. maybe mustaches just aren't my thing.

  • This movie was awesome, and I love the intro.

  • In the opening credits, the three US dubbing actors for Cowboy Bebop are shown in animation. The African-American man in headphones singing the line "What's up" is Beau Billingslea, the English voice of Jet Black; the woman in dark top drinking soda on the song line "sweet cakes" is Wendee Lee, the English voice of Faye Valentine; on the line "anyway", the man in sunglasses taking a karate pose is Steve Blum, the English voice of Spike Spiegel.

  • volume is too low. Please re-upload with proper sound

  • i think the german voice is better.

he sounds way to old.... i know he s a "cowboy" but thats no reason to give him the voice of "john wayne" lol :P

  • 1:16 makes me think of Chris Hansen.

  • The black guy with the headphones is supposed to be a depiction of Jet's English voice actor; the girl drinking a soda is Faye's, and the karate guy is Spike's.

  • 1:09 Kanye West?

  • i like the karate guy. xD

o.o the animation for this video is surprisingly realitic.

  • @effjaee It's a technique called "rotoscoping". The simple breakdown of how it's done is that the animators are just tracing videos.

  • The opening makes so much no sense that it makes so much sense

  • thats cuz you dont understand english

  • go to hell white trash

  • im asian, but thanks for pointing out that fact that i have common sense.

  • Is it just me, or does the opening music for this seem reminiscent of the opening theme music on "Law and Order"?

  • I love the last few seconds with Spike. He looks so rediculously tall, it's awesome.

  • does anyone knows the name of this intro?

  • You mean the song? "Ask DNA" by the Seatbelts.

  • Okay, so I heard some trivia somewhere. It said that 3 people in this opening were based off of the 3 main English dub actors:

    1:09 Beau Billingslea (Jet)

    1:12 Wendee Lee (Faye)

1:17 Steve Blum (Spike) Yes, karate guy. lol.

I'm not sure, though. Does anyone know if there's any truth to that?

  • WIw, watching this series, Keanu Reeves better not screw up as the Role of SPike in the live action version.

  • It's impossible for him NOT to.

    He fucking sucks.

  • There is going to be a live action series?

Why did i not know this?

  • Anyone else notice how this sounds like the opening of Carole King's "It's Too Late" ?

  • help could any one tell me the name of a cartoon which has 4 guys who are samuri warriors with powerful armour

  • Ronin Warriors?

  • Spike u r the best!

  • "...Just a humble bounty hunter 'mam."

    Spike is teh coolness ^_^

  • awesome i got it on dvd in english XD

  • does the opening use more frames than the rest of the movie, because the people look and move so realistic

  • probably

  • It's the same way with a lot of series and movies, not just this one. They have to make it look extra appealing so it'll ramp up the viewers interest.

  • The oppening use a techinique of digitalization of real ppl, thats why its so realistic, its like the nowadays game CGs

  • it's an awesome movie

  • I fell in love with this song and this movie back in the day. I forgot about it for a while, but I remembered it the other day. Can't believe how awesome it was, and the movie. And wtf @ 1:18. What a moron.

  • Karate Dude is the best part of this opening.

  • I agree it's funny, but still, the guy is a moron for doing something like that in public. Obviously he wasn't in his right mind.

  • I don't think there's a single person in the Cowboy Bebop universe who's in their right mind :/

  • is there someone like that in our universe?

  • Like what? A guy who does karate demonstrations on the streets?

  • if youre talking about the karate guy, thats me without the sunglasses

  • just awesome

  • Did they rebuild NYC or did they salvage the buildings and move them to Mars?

  • lollnternets1, they build a city with architectural features of cities all over the world

  • Ah I see. That would explain why Tokyo Tower is there.

  • 1:18 - All i could think is that "WACHACHAOW!" going through that man's head. Seriously, WHO DOES THAT?

  • I do that. Seriously

  • sigh times pf cowboy bebop

  • so cool, thanks for uploading. love the series, didn't think much of the film but this opening is awesome. thanks again.

  • DUDE SPIKE IS SO SEXY!!! i dated a guy that talked like him and looked just like him and i had the best time with him so HOT!!! LOL XD

  • love this movie. <3

  • Omg.. Love this song as much as this movie.. <3

music seems to be one of the best thing in Cowboy bebop^^

  • What's the name of the song? I have no idea what the name is.

  • Ask DNA by The Seatbeats

  • @knightfox73

The vocals are by Raj Ramayya.

  • Whoa! That was great! :D

  • I love the old man lol

  • Another Great opening I really like! Good work Dip.
