It it is valid one of the best! It is recognized by world figures of belly dance! She dances since the early childhood! From it there is a mad power! And your subjective opinion won't affect in any way these indisputable facts! I am proud of that it so adequately represents my country!

1. Are you ever seen a top Egyptian dancers such as Dina, Randa, etc. Have you seen today's costumes for a dance? Her costume is not more open than it is now dancing in Egypt 2. Say me when she touches her waist?
3. Are you sure there is spesial type of music for dance whis weil? If you are, you bad know the egyptian style...
Maria one of greatest russian dancers. It is not up to you, needs she classes or not...

This was surely not her worst performance, but the veil part was annoying (too fast, too aggressive...) , the rest was o.k. , but still nothing special compared to other dancers.
@SnakeKundalini I don't outraged then, that Maria is someone did not like, but then how ( as if that person is the ultimate truth), expressed his opinion. That statement was a very stereotypical view of dance, music, and how must look a dancer.

@SnakeKundalini In Egypt never existed any rules, concerning use veil. That veil should be used only in quiet ' flight ' to music is cleanly European (or American) understanding of music. Egyptians always in another way hear and interpret music.Veil is an accessory which can be used under the discretion of the dancer in any song (I don't mean, certainly, folklore).

2)In this particular performance it was "untempered" somehow.

I believe, that not the Egyptians hear it in another way, but all others/foreigners misunderstand oriental music.
And you need to learn to be more polite. And more considerate with such a great bellydancer. What she touches is none of your business, I bet you don't come even close to what she can do.
you know, I recently lokked up some of Turkish bellydancers. Well, what to say... Some of them are good, some of them are ok and some of them are really disgusting. I think you underestimate this dancer for some reasons.

3 worst mistakes
1- her outfit is not even close to a belly dancer outfit!!
2- she touches her waist while dancing (in middle eastern countries belly dancers that touch their waist are prostitutes)
3- The vile song is NOT a veil song the beat is too fast u can't see no beauty of veil dancing technique!
