the bottom of that pipe had ripples , coused hovac for me. some how the pros rolled right over it no problem. now listen , i used to ride some gnarly shit back in the day , but the bottom of that pipe was F''D....

sooo...i just found out that the "pipe" as we used to call it..no longer allows bikes...that's BS consindering that riders like mike dominguez, "fying Brian Blyther, Eddie Fiola...and many others made their carreers there...it's bullshit...i'm not hating on skaters...but DAMN...why do WE get FUCKED?
Yep! I still have my membership card to. Llooking at it right now. The pipeline membership card #38177. Loved that place it was a real treat to get our parents to drive us up from Encintas. We had Del Mar though, Upland was different big and hairy. I had a lot fun I got hurt a lot .

This is the new Upland Park, not The Pipeline. The coping on the bowl is the tip-off. Aside from the original combi-pool, there was no coping at The Pipeline Skatepark.
I skated here with my brother and some friends in 1986-1987..I remember seeing Jeff Grosso and John Lucero skate the Combi pool and also Eddie Fiola (BMX) riding the pipe and catching big air out of the pool..the skateshop had an Atari "720 Degrees" arcade game and there was a snackbar outside the skateshop..I lived like 30 min away from Pipeline and we would sometimes skate home from the park
