Bush and Nirvana had similar lyrics yes, nothing really made sense. They also had a completely different sound, Bush more on the musical side Kurt Cobain tended to talk more than sing on his tracks. I say in the 90's you could compare most every grunge band and have similarities. I like them both but in no way will i mix up a nirvana track for a bush track or vice versa.
idk, to me it doesn't seem or even feel like bush copied nirvana, grunge was in and many bands, even pearl jam and soundgarden had a somewhat similar sound and idea, so to say that bush are rip off's doesnt make sense, i think ppl throw that out there because post-nirvana there were more alternative rather than grunge groups, so the sound seemed to loose its touch and the fact that they were british, alot of ppl knock them just on that fact alone!
yeah bush sounds like nirvana how. i like nirvana but i hate how every fucking big fan says that every other band around that time sounds like nirvana. desipite what you think nirvana is not the godly band you think they are all of thier albums have the same sound except unplugged. quit ridding kurts nuts he would not like his fans having no derversity in thier music. you know kurt was a Abba fan yeah true thats a fact.
The only person that seems like they are having trouble dealing with anything Bush boy is you. Five seconds to react? Then you are a reactionary clown, who does not bother to think about the things he writes. I believe you were talking about worthless opinions?
it took me about five seconds to react to your last comment, so it didnt really take up very much of my time. your opinion in your last statement doesnt change anyones mind about Bush, so therefor it is worthless. i am bitter because i dont like what you said before. deal with it.
wow.... youre an idiot!!!! good for you, you liked Nirvana!!!! blaaaaah blaaaaaah blaaaaaaaah they're "nirvana rip offs", maybe in your dumbass opinion. I respect Nirvana....i dont deny they changed music, and i do like some of their stuff.....but i adore Bush, and theyre obviously not the same. unfortuneately for you..... your opinions don't matter to us americans who still adore Bush after 14 years...such as myself.
learn how to spell and punctuate you ignorant fool. talk all the shit you want about Gavin.... too bad he is amazing and youre just a moron that made me laugh from your idiotic comment. :)
Gavin is a very very sexy man he can just sit there that's all he would have to do, I do say that his home country did get to miss out on him oh my god we know talent when we see it and he's so full of talent the dude can sing he's sexy what else, not to say his wife is a good looking women, he is a lucky soul! America will keep him!!
im a huge nirvana fan and a big bush one as well but isnt it somewhat ironic that they talk about steve albini basically the whole interview and fail to mention he worked with nirvana on In Utero record... lmfao. i love gavin and kurt (theres no comparison, sorry) and this is a classic interview lol
i love how gavin sorta avoids the obvious fact that steve albini produced nirvana's "In Utero". lol. i still love bush and nirvana has been my fav band for ever but when it comes to kurt ripoffs. this guy is the best. lol
I loved the interview up until the last twenty seconds when it cuts Nigel off when he starts talking about his guitar sound and cuts to a Bjork video! What the hell is that?! Cool interview, uncool ending
lol i think it would be pretty difficult to raise kids and be a rock star at the same time, i mean without the blatant side effects of the kids becoming stoners or crack addicts anyways
Yes I have, and I went to two of their shows. But, Bush was a great band I think that was because of G.N.R.D and, that is missing now. All I am saying is, I LOVED Bush and I had a ton of friends who HATED them and I turned them onto them and even Institute, but, honestly, Nigel and Dave and Robin are amazing musicians and I think all of us who loved Bush should be kicking ourselves for not appreciating it more. Gavin may have the charisma and voice, but hell, it will just never be the same.
Plus, I find it amusing that you get negative responses from people who probably never appreciated Bush like I did. I traveled across the U.S. to see them. I met Gavin and Dave and Nigel three times. I love them! I am defending the band that you supposedly love. But, you probably just love Gavin.
Maybe I am stoned, because I tried to reply a few times and could not...Anyway, I am a huge Bush fan and now all he does is play tennis...what the hell? Nirvanawannabees for sure...it sucks.

Try not to let teenage sentiment get in the way of your judgement.
And if my opinions dont matter why take the time react so bitter?
And if all you can come back with is criticism of one's punctuation then you've lost sight of what we were discussing.
Which was.............Bush were "post grunge"
Critically slammed.
Unoriginal.
And had really bad lyrics.
Facts son, (quite handy)
@AddLies LOL Razorblade Suitcase was a ridiculous name for an album, "post grunge" parody.

Bush fucking sucked big time!
Nirvana rip offs, everyone hated them in the UK, (where NIrvana were adored)
Just dervitive generic Post Grunge with poor lyrics over some admittedly decent tunes.

And to think that England (their home country) snubbed this band...
a)Because they became successful in America
b)Because Gavin is really good looking and a threat to those ugly British bastards
c)Because of their "American sounding" music.
Come to think of it, the British are really a nasty bunch of shitheads
