The truth is that they are not all holocaust survivors. Some of the zionist colonialists began arriving long before the holocaust. They had conflicts with ALL the natives, Arabs, Muslims AND Jews. When the holocaust began some zionist groups actually sought to prevent the Jews from fleeing. In summary, The creation of Israel was not a reaction to the Holocaust, but the holocaust benefited those who said Jews could not be safe without a homeland in Palestine.

Well you have a valid point, the plan to make Israel started back in the late 19th century (Alliance Israelite Universelle) and 1917 signing the Balfour decleration made it pretty permanent. I apologize for the lack of clarification and generalization. The holocaust just became a huge excuse on which Israel lives today though.
