how do you do these tricks???

@GhettoKarter1992: Hover technique works like this:

- jump once at the start (so just press R button) and then hold the R button

- then drive in a snaking pattern, so always move left, then right, then left, and so on

Why does that speed you up? Well, sliding makes you slightly faster, so by holding the R button and then turning left/right, you always "slide" (although this word is probably bad term for the hover).

Maybe practise it against a ghost that just goes in a straight line at the start (use an easy track like Ancient Lake) to see if you do it right.

Personally, I find T.T amazing in everything except handling, but only in the Car.

On another note, this is the exact same technique I use, just done better. I'm trying to beat 1:00:00, and I'm on 1:03:xx IIRC.

i can get crazy fast litle les than 20 seconds, yes my fastest. And its with KRUNCH though, so yeah, I wish they showd the seperate stats for ever character, cause i had to figure out whos fastest, best handling ec.

I respect and understand your opinion but I disagree because...

-The lack of texture filtering took away the amazing graphics that the original had, ----The main game is VERY VERY easy in the remake.

-The new touch screen controls just didn't work.

-The lack of analog control makes steering awkward. With the analog stick, you can walk, run, or even tiptoe (ex. Mario 64) and move in oblique directions (diagonally). Analog control is a must for 3-D games.

Yepp, that's the N64 DKR. You have to beat T.T.'s ghost on all tracks to get her. So similar to DKR DS. But in DKR DS you have to beat the ghost with all vehicles on each track, in DKR64 only with the standard vehicle.

press the A-button a moment before the word "Go!" appears (so when the word "get ready" is nearly gone).

Green Boosts are for straight-a-ways, but not for curves. It sucks when I try green on turns as Pipsy...she stops...I know about her handling on HC, but it took time for me to get used to it. :)

The hover-vehicle is weird. On some zippers it's better to get a normal boost than a green boost. Sometimes if you get a green boost, the hover will slow down too much and you'll need much more time to accelerate again than just doing a normal boost without slowing down.

I use the "snaking technique" that was discovered one year ago. Just do a normal turbo start and after one second press and hold the R button. Now move the control stick from forward left to forward right and then again to forward left and then to forward right. You can also rapidly press the A button when you are at top speed to increase your speed a bit. But don't rapidly press the A button if you are not on top speed (because then you loose speed).

Yeah I use all his videos as a standard when I try and time attack a level. Just trying to get the hang of snaking at the moment actually. Am doing ok at it,clocked 15"50 flap on ancoent lake and a 17"80 flap on snowball valley, could definately bring them both down though.

Nah, I don't have the record on tape anymore. And the Whale Bay Bounty on Twin Galaxies is already over, isn't it? And for me it's probably to expensive to send a tape from Germany to USA, just to get a record verified.
