  • Nice plane the engine sounds nice

  • Power over looks. Nice sound and looks, but I prefer my speed with my warbirds. ^^ Don't get me wrong... I loved watching my favorite warbird. Good video!

  • where did you get that

  • Prop and plane looked good in flight, just need a pilot for the total effect. Might need slightly larger wheels for that grass - or you might be buying a new prop soon.

    Good job landing! Nice video!

  • most favorite plane of all time. and i does sound amazing. the tri blade prop sounds so much better than the two blade props ive seen on some other vids. awesome job

  • Very nice but needs a sale model pilot !

  • what servos do you have on that?

    thanks

  • Corsair had big probs. Thats why the wing shape

  • @MrDefaultt

the shape of the wing was designed in order to shorten the undercarriage, ´cos it was an carrier operated fighter. And it´s true, the Corsair was equipped with one of the biggest propellers ever!

  • how much did this cost

  • nice flight. plane looks a little funny with no flaps and the tail draggin' like that, but overall, nicely done. the big prop looks and seems to work great. now all you need is one of those Technopower or Seidel radials to mate it up with, and you'll be cookin'

  • Leave it on! It sounds fine and looks great. The engine didn't sound overloaded in flight at half throttle and probably could have handled more rpm with no problem. I'll take scale operation and piloting any day over maxed out screaming engines, vertical take-offs and flopping around in the sky. Nice video!

  • I flew rc plane in China city in easter search kkchongkk

  • PLEASE HELP ME!!! Hey there, I got a new RCV90SP and put on a test stand for break-in. All is fine in the low idle screw as I lean it idles better but the high speed needle is a different story. At first I couldn't get it to run rich in full, It even ran lean with the needle valve fully open. I ordered a VP-30 pump and installed it and it pumps but no matter what it runs lean @ full. Pump fully open, needle valve fully open, engine still lean @ full.I even tried muffler pressure with pump. Help!

  • @jesknow : I am not an engine expert. I had a similar problem while breaking in mine. An experienced member at my club played with the low-end needle. He did his magic, the engine ran perfect, and I haven't touched the low-end needle since. Adjusting the low-end has a significant effect on the high-end. You have to be careful. When you have the engine running good, a pump is not needed. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck with yours.

  • @Julc3 Thanks, I found the problem. I was using the stock tank that came with a clunk with a hole the size of a pin head. Don't know what kinda fuel flow that was designed to carry but not enough i guess. Changed the clunk and it's all good.

  • Yes, cool looking prop. People put so much work into constructing beautiful scale planes, but then have to mate with un-realistic looking hubs and props. I understand the technical limitations that cause this dilemma, but it's nice to see a beautifully crafted, realistic-looking, and working solution for once.

  • Me and my friend are building the same exact arf your flying here. I am over powering it with a saito 125. If you are not going to build any more of these hubs will you email the dimentions so I can get the shop to cut us one. benynebo@yahoo.com

  • are the blades carbon or glass

  • thts amazing

  • what kind of Engine and what size is it?

  • Love the custom mad hub... Very realistic, and well done!

  • Very cool!

  • I like the way you stayed with that landing until it was just right.

  • Finally, A REAL prop instead of these lame wooden 2 blade (Sopwith Camel) looking props on a war bird. I had that idea for a while. Why not have an authentic and proper propeller for the type of aircraft its for?

  • @2wayfreq A MK1 Spitfire has a two blade prop - made of wood too.

  • That's gotta be the coolest RC plane I've ever seen!

  • big thumbs up for the timmies cup ;)

  • nice landing. i have a question,, Can u help me find a good beginner plae with landing gear? An suggestions

  • sounds like a big machine :D

  • what's the north in doing this so far, sorry I am a newbie

  • great use of tension, I was waiting for something to go wrong!

(whats a regular sized prop look like? nice for a noob to have a scale to measure by, I liked it!

  • i love it

  • Excellent scale effect ....... you should put a Snoopy in the cockpit ......

  • Nice vid.

  • Precius plane, Congratulations my friend this plane is awesome and the prop is just beutiful.

  • thats a 4cycle engine, right

  • lol some how the camera work at the start when it was following the plane made it look dangerous and sinister like the plane wanted to kill people

  • beautiful work on the prop.... i had one of these h9 corsairs..short coupled thing flew like crap. and landing was either perfect or a nose over ..i see you managed a nice landing with several balloons and then almost nosed it over..good with the full up elevator there. landing gear to close to the cg and because they rotate when they come down your screwed to them sticking straight down...never again...but it is the nature of the beast and i love warbirds.

  • Needs a pilot - planes flying by themselves look kind of creepy.

  • Yes I believe I would be happy to loose a 1000 rpm if I had a prop that nice looking.

  • why do those navy planes all look so damned gay?

  • id put like a mini pilot in there to go along with the look!

  • if u lose 1000 rpm ... what do u won with this prop?

  • How much more or less performance would you gain from running a 4 blade prop, like the actual plane? Just curious. Nice R/C by the way!!!

  • larger prop + higher tip speed at lower RPM?

  • Now you need to mount your video camera on the plane :-)

  • 500 my arse but alreet land for being on the grass.

  • 500 my arse, but alreet land for being on the grass

  • WOT A WASTE OF MONEY. CRAP ARAF COZ U DONT KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY BUILD A MODEL,THEN U WASTE MORE MONEY ON A SHIT PROP ADAPTOR LOL

  • @vickishortland u are just jealous little bitch

  • @vickishortland I would waste some money on some English classes for yourself.

  • That is awesome! Nice work!

  • Gorgeous plane! Great show. Thanks for posting.

    Regards,

    Leo M., Chicago

  • I also have a RCV 90SP and glad to know that it will probably handle the Master Airscrew 16X10 3B that I intend to use. As yet I haven't decided on the Corsair or something else. It's good to see there are a few flyers out there that are still curious enough to experiment. Nice video, give congrats to the cameraman.

  • Absolutely beautiful - sounds like 2 stroke to me??? Lovely sound too!!

  • 1:30 look at the shiny metal part, recognize it?

  • very nice

  • that looks like a horrible air feild look how it bounces

  • how much for this toy airplane

  • Hmm.. That prop does not look oversize. It looks scale to me. What did the plane come with? How much larger (or rather longer) are the blades? Did you change the pitch as well as the diameter size? btw beautiful work on the hub, and nice piloting. congrats...

  • Why dont manufacturers make props like that, looks fantastic, I am not suprised you have no more left, well done

  • Beautiful Corsair man! That big prop looks very good.

  • i have the same one but smaller

  • I love that plane! So are you putting a bigger engine in it to handle the prop? Maybe a 4 stroke to the sound to the looks. Nice job! Best looking Corsair out there.

  • looks authentic nice work

  • very nice looking prop but very slow model too ..

i don't think you would be able to recover rapidly from a stall with this configuration and i think you know how bad a stall on a f4u corsair can be .. other than that really cool

  • you guys are very brave to test fly on such a windy day... good job!!!

  • Who's ARF is it?

  • @carlosmurphy4u

    It's a Hangar 9.

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!! THIS is what scale is supposed to look like.

I can't believe how some people would go through all the trouble detailing countless rivets and panels just to have the whole effect destroyed by the "posicle stick" hanging on the nose of the plane.

That propeller you've got is downright breathtaking! Great work! :)

  • loot tight and right

    great job

  • I'm just a casual watcher at the occasional flying field, but I really appreciate NOT seeing a dinky little yellow two-blader replacing the "display prop" at the last moment!

  • Very nice indeed! Im building the Topflite kit at the moment and would love to know what prop this is please?

    Again lovely!

  • No flaps?

  • Exactly what I want to do with mine..

    How's the top end?

  • That's awesome

  • Very nice, looks a bit more to scale I think. Though I don't know much about the Corsair myself.

  • Well, the only thing I know is that the reason why the Corsair has those bent wings was the size of the propeller. It was so huge that they had to bend the wings like this in order to raise the planes nose on the ground, otherwise the propeller would have touched the ground during take off and landing!

  • damn great qualitiy!

  • Is fucking nice

  • Big prop looks more to scale..Nice

  • Nice landing!

  • how much money do you spend on this beautiful plane

  • RC usually bores me, but I really like this model. I'll bet it is really fast at full power. It seems to be bigger than it appears onscreen.

  • I have the same corsair kit. I'm just about finished with it and it is heavily detailed and modified. What do you charge for the big prop setup? Extra blades?

  • Awesome Prop!!! I agree with some of the others...starting production on these would pay for your hobby for years to come!

  • Nice prop hub , you guys have a very interesting starting technique...The guy with the pen is going to end up with it stuck in his ear one day

  • awesome video... i've been practising on my simulator to get myself ready for that... i think i'm almost ready....

  • this is so sexy!!!! damn gj

  • Really great plane. 5 star

  • realy realy realy nice plane!!!

  • that thing sounds amazing

  • nice flying

  • wouldnt that increase the torque roll?

  • Awsome Airplane. The thing that would set it right off would be a pilot!!!

  • were did you buy this prop from

  • I made it. I made 15 in total. Sold them all.

  • Make more! You'd be a millionaire. The pitch is ground adjustable? If you manufactured these, especially in the big warbird configs (p-51, p-47, F6F, P-40) you'd strike oil.

  • HEHE i want one. BUT id have to practice first before i flew it, BUT damn i want one badly

  • @Julc3 hey whats like the cost of one of theese

  • @Julc3 nice landing man!

  • @Julc3 How did you make your propellers?

  • @Julc3 she sounds so realistic and beautiful outstanding job =]

  • very nice plane, guess you like big props =:-) ! well done and 5 stars

  • Big prop was the reason for the wing design... nice to see true to scale reproductions.

  • 18x10 tri prop? LOL wut? Im supprised it went to 5000 rpm. I would have started off somewhere around 18x4 for a big prop, more pull and less engine wear.

  • NICE!

  • How much did that plane cost?

  • Airplane: Hangar 9 Corsair, $300

    Engine: RCV 90SP, $360

    Propeller: Custom Made, $300

Servos/Radio and other accessories: Reused from other projects.

    -------------------

    Flying a cool airplane: Priceless

  • Priceless???

WIth a total cost of 960$?

Take a look at the Hangar-9 P-51 Mark II PTS RTF with everything included in the box for just 399$ ;-)

  • nice landing!

  • Beutiful plane but where's the pilot? Big props look better with a pilot under the canopy:)

  • Absolutly beautiful. Nice plane.

  • Beautiful airplane. That prop hub is nice too!

  • Yeah!! very bumpy runway lol whats going on ? are there many holes doesn´t even look like it. It looks so nice, green and smooth but is not.

  • lol very bumpy runway lol its bouncing like crazy

  • Love the scale prop!

I love the gull wing FU4..

18 foot dia prop full scale?

The RCV sound diferent to the poppet 4 cycle....

  • 13'-4" inches full scale diameter prop!

20" at the scale of this model. It's a little too small, but I'll live with 18".

  • when i tried landing my corsair i was so nervous i made 17 pass bys before i landed it and i crashed rofl

  • thats a bummer

  • This is an enjoyable video and quite informative, especially with the comments I've read so far.

    Thanks. : )

  • What kind of engine?

I also would like to put a large prop on my Corsair--they look so goofy with little tiny props...

  • What fuel do you run your 90sp on? I was running mine on the recommended Duraglo 10% Nitro 6% castor &9% edl. The thing got so hot it got through 3 silencers (End caps kept unwelding) and eventually blew the front bearings! Got it fixed under warranty, But I'm wondering wether there is a better fuel to use. The engine was in a Thunderbolt with most of the cowl blanked off to divert air over the engine. Do you have any over heating problems with yours?

  • i have the parkzone corsair love flying it not the easiest to fly but its fun.

  • On a scale model of this type, prop size is everything! If you're going scale and you fly with a popsicle stick spinning on the front, you might as well paint the plane pink with green polkadots. Unscale props just don't make it for a scale model and regardless of the RPM loss, the plane flies and more realistically at that. Well done!!!!

  • Thats a nice prop and hub where can i get one?

  • hey, im starting to get into the RC Plane hobby, and was wandering 2 things;

    1) what is the best type of Corsair(Parkzone or Hangar 9)

2)What thats thing you were usiong to start the engine

  • Welcome to the hobby.

    1) Parkzone models are smaller, battery powered, and easier to fly. The Hangar 9 models (like this Corsair you see in this video) are larger, can be powered by fuel or battery, and need more experience to fly. You can't really compare the two because they are totally different.

    2) The thing I'm using to start the engine is called a "starter". It has a rubber cup that grips the propeller hub and spins it. They are used only of fuel powered engines.

  • Thanks for the reply( i now know to buy a parkzone, thanks for the advise!)

  • hey same for me if u bought it tell me were, also, how big is the engine

  • this is a cool vid but im just wondering did you make it or buy it and if you did buy it where did you get it at please tell me
