250gb is that your model also/ for peeps having trouble I used a eyeglass sharp flat screwdriver. Your screws def look bigger than mine That's fucking it for me and Sony.When this thing is done I'm done. I don't give a shit that I have 1,000's in games and add ons. 2 frigging ps'2 broken in the closet, one of which was almost 400 bucks the fat model. And This PS3 is the second time in a year and a few months that the laser needs cleaning. I got the Clean DRX for 15 bucks doesn't do shit. .

If you dont have a Torque/Torx screw driver get it from Amazon. £3.50, search for "Precision TORX Star Screwdriver Set T4-T15 for Mobiles" It says mobiles but if you read techniqal details it says it can be used for phones, xbox and PS3! Just saying.......

They are torx screws... Not torque screws. You can buy an entire set for about $6 at any home improvement store, and I highly recommend it since it is easier, and you don't risk stripping the screw.

I do not recommend this. You can strip out the locking screws or damage your jeweler's tools. I just bought a T8 locking screw bit from Menards for $1.25. A lot cheaper than a new PS3.
