Any idea how the Lancia Stratos fares on this track?

@azmune If you can hold it it will be quicker, but sometimes slower can also equal faster in the right hands. To be honest tho most people using a Stratos can't hold it and they end up riding the walls to get the job done. Wall riding has been proven to be faster on most of the leader boards tho which is a shame.

@F4O Unfortunately, replay mode doesn't allow much control. I usually use it to improve my lap times but this game doesn't give us the option to see other views as well as our HUD (i.e. speed). I didn't know wall riding can get you better times here. Wish I had access to Xbox Live to check out those leader boards.

WOW, you got some serious Sega rally skills! i thought you only drove OutRun ;-D haha (just kidding).

this is indeed one of those make or break tracks, but somehow i got problems with all the stages on later levels. the computer just rams me off the road, and i can't close the gap anymore :-D but you just blast past them, and then they have no chance :-) thanks for sharing.

If you let the gas off just before to leave a jump the car will land with better traction and allow better control once you land (faster). Best thing to do in Sega Rally is to watch your corner speeds all the time and learn how to push harder. Keep tapping the gas On/Off as you slide around some corners to gain traction so u can take corners with more speed = quicker. ;-)

@F4O Also... Handbrake sliding corners.

Steer-in & tap the brake and at that moment let go of the brake and only tap the handbrake for a mere second. This pushes the weight of the car into the corner and the tap on the handbrake that follows will get the car to slip-side around which hovers on the speed you take it at. Get a nice balance and you will see the difference.

Watch outside view in vid as I exit tunnel, brake lights, followed by tap on handbrake glides the car around. ;-)

Look at the game this way... All cars no matter what class they are take the corners at the same speed. This is a good guide to get the faster cars to work better for you. So watching the corner speed does pay to play. ;-)

@F4O wow, exelent info there. after work, i will surely give this a go, as somehow i can play OutRun reasonably well, but sega rally i'm stuck halfway trough the game :-D but this might just do the trick. thanks again! and keep on racing, indeed, if daytona usa would be avaiable, that would be great!

There is an Online Demo via XBOXLiVE, the full retail game is available and was released a couple of years back. When I say demo I mean demonstration of how to play.

Thats why this video has the title GAMEPLAY DEMO. I just slapped it up towards the last days of playing Sega Rally serious, check the vid date. Atleast the vid gives you a small insight of how I used to play haha! :-P

The vid was made to help others at the end of the day. You should know or remember this one course is the make or break of the career for most people. ;-)

Can you turn off the annoying announcer? I'm not a fan of 1st person driving, can you drive like this with a 3rd person view?

yes you can turn the co-driver off. If you watched long enough you would of seen 3rd person view on lap3. Doh! :-P

Potentially I would have no problem using the wheel being one of the very best players on OutRun2 & OutRun2006 XBOX. Yeah I have the skills to use a wheel, check my OutRun vids.

If I felt there was a need to use the wheel I would believe me... ;-)

Hey I changed my account on here, Cool that this is one of the first videos to find when you search for sega rally xbox 360 I still cant get through that championship man, lol Its pretty hard, im through with virtua fighter now tho, took like 1200 battles

Yes, this guy is really good at outrun, i played with him like, 4 years ago on the xbox and he was on top of virtually every leaderboard you can think off and then he would purposly not put up the ghost so it was even harder for us to beat him, lol but yeh, your gonna have a hard time trying to beat him

How do you get the boost start? Also, do you use the buttons or triggers for acceleration/brake? Sorry if thse are obvious questions guv.

Yeah I use the triggers for gas and brake. The quick start is done by holding the gas so the rev needle sits just inside the first red band bar of the rev counter. As the word "GO" is said you must keep the gas held as is... Watch the video, you will see that the rev needle drops and then the needle or rather traction of the wheels bite. Its at this point when you floor the gas. Practice using Quick Race.
