I have everything you described, and a lot of scripts, but I can't get the wiimote to work as a lightgun. It works perfectly as a joystic and I can use wii motion plus, classic controller and nunchuck as controllers. Everything is working, BUT the lightgun! Maybe wrong config inside MAME? Can you help me? Pleeeease!

In MAME:

Set the joystick dead zone to 0, in controlloer option.

In "input: this game" option, set the lightgun axies to use the Joystick.

Set INC/DEC axies to NONE.

I don't know much more.

That's cool. I'd love to hook up my wii to mame and play some classic shooters like Terminator 2, Legal Enforcers, operation wolf etc. I'm not really sure how to do it. I love classic arcade games.

i me again my project starts in about 1,5 days from now. but i need your help the script works but i cant set deadzone to 0 because mame doesnt has the option. and another thing the script seems to work in variables. both give reactions and the shoot button works for mame but i cant set the axies (axis) and the crosshairs wont move. - yes i have latest version mame - yes wiimotes are not broken - how do i set the axis or how do i let it function. am i doing somthing wrong? plz help

Wii-motes may work with MAME, but what's the point. They have lag time when moving and causing them to be to hard to use on arcade games, just stick with the LCD Topguns made by EMS :D

You are right, using the mouse should be better!

But the problem is that M.A.M.E do not use the hardware mouse emulated by glovePIE. That's why you have to use PPJoy, for any M.A.M.E game in fact, not only gun games. You can find more informations about this on the Wiili website, searching MAME.

Yes, every working M.A.M.E. may possibly work with Wii-motes. Here is the list of shooting games I tried: Alien3, Area 51, Bang!, Dragon Gun, Golgo 13, Jurassic Park (1993), Point Blank 1 & 2, Police Trainer, Revolution X (3 wii-motes!) and Zero Point 1 & 2.

Sorry, I did not manage to make House of the dead 3 works with 2 wii-motes.

For MAME, I simulates 2 joysticks, for HOTD3, you can't use joystick, only mouse and keyboard.

And thre is only one mouse supported in this game.

il faut juste que tu aies une wii-mote et une sensor bar (c'est juste des leds, des signaux infrarouges) ou deux bougies. la wii-mote s'en sert pour se repérer !

Ah, et, ton appareil photo (Canon?) avec lequel tu as fait la video as un problème au niveau du capteur CMOS, il présente le fameux symptôme des déformations violettes, tu peux le faire réparer gratuitement (même hors garantie) dans un centre de réparation agréé Canon (tout est expliqué sur leur site).

Non malheureusement, House of the dead 3 ne supporte qu'une sule entrée souris et ne supporte pas les joysticks :(

Le deuxième joueur doit absolument jouer au clavier ou au gamepad.
