You are amazing my friend ! I have always wanted to be a film composer . I've recently put my " Metal " days behind me and started working on some samples , you are my new idol ! Thank you !
WTF! Just discovered you dude...AWESOME!!! I'm building my studio now and am trying to get into the 'Film' arena. Are you using Stormdrum 2 or Cinesamples along with the VSL stuff? email me at : mulattostudio@yahoo.com if you can.
love it! May I ask what libraries you are using and if you have any tips? It sound (and looks) like you've done quite alot of velocity changes (one way or another). Thanks
@Herkulesxs no, those are actually MIDI controller keyboards, no sound comes out of them, the just send the notes hes playing into the computer and the COMPUTER has the sounds, he bought really expensive (thousands of dollars) of orchestra sounds, and mixed them all together. He's recorded himself playing some of the parts, but the audio you are hearing is the finished recording put over him playing and just timed up.
The drum sounds really make it and (I may have said before) but your instrumental skills are scary! May I ask what drum pad that is? And are you using Stormdrum...?
Thats amazing...what would some suggestions be for a beat producer that wants to get into film composing or producing?? I'd appreciate any help. thank you
@VincentSinclair For REAL big budgets, that wanted orchestral music, this electronic production based on high quality orchestral sample banks would just be a mock- up :\
They would record the real one as an orchestra. However, this stuff is gold! Reminds me of some of the Unreal soundtracks... This stuff would still be used for some movies and TV series etc.
Holy shit, that's good equipment, it sounds just like a real orchestra. How much money would I have to lay down to buy a keyboard and software that would sound like that?
how long does it usually take you to get a score done? and where can i hear more? this was amazing did you go to school for this or something cuz playing two keyboards at once is awesome and i love the tension very cool
@robpowersmusic you deserve it...you seem so much in control..thats fantastic!...can you tell us about your setup...what computers are you using, DAW, sample libraries? what about those amazing percussion sounds...please share this with us...you are amazing..just keep making this amazing stuff!!!!
Check out the East West Quantum Leap Stormdrum 2 for a lot of these sounds as well as the Symphonic Orchestra. Really great libraries for film composing. you can check out soundsonline (dot) com for all the samples and videos of the products.
i dont like this video. Cause you can't see the real thing of making music, like making the sounds and adding the effects. But i do like the music he made
Awesome! Some people craft stories with words; others with pictures; Rob crafts stories with musical notes! This score communicates danger, urgency, excitement and victory. Excellent work Rob.
This sounds huge! Love it. Rob, any tips on what's a good replacement for Gigastudio or are many sticking with it? Are you running multiple PCs? and one final, what sound card are you using?
