Great review! I have never used a liquid foundation. I have only used Bare Minerals powder foundation. I am afraid to use liquid foundation because I hate any makup application that requires tugging of the skin. But you have convinced me to try this, especially since winter is here and powder foundation can look dry and cakey. Can't wait to try this!

Your review convinced me to just go ahead and cough up the cash for this. I got a sample from Sephora and I love it.... The only thing holding me back was the price. You can purchase a pump seperately on the NARS web-site for $6. Great Review!

@2011suu i recommend investing in good foundation. I know sephora associates help you find the right foundation for your skin tone. I now sometimes the shade they choose for you is incorrect and this is only noticeable in natural lighting. The benefit of investing is that sephora returns or exchanges if unhappy with their products!

@ImALatinaDoll I tried sheer matter and sheer glow both.I tend to use sheer glow in the winter as my skin isn't oily in winter and when summer comes I use sheer matte because I tend to sweat and which makes my face oily..And believe me, I recently put this foundation on the test- I went to the gym wearing this foundation (sweat like crazy) and then stepped into the sauna for 1 hr and then went to a luncheon with my friends and they said my skin looked amazing..so u can deduce how good it is

just found you and i really appreciate the information. i just got this foundation but i am having to return for a lighter shade.think i may pick up the primer you talked about. you said you put your fix plus on under your foundation - i did not know this was an option. i thougt fix plus was only for after foundation. do you let it dry or put on foundation while skin is still wet?

Pleeease help me! I'm currently using clinique superfit- liked it now hate it - its caking and just don't like the finish! I'm think of buying Nars Sheer Glow - I have quite problem skin at the moment small pimpes and the occasional break out:( my skin about to get really dry because of spot medication. Usually my skins combination/normal. You said it lets your skin shine through - my skins horrible. Also does t make you look nice even in daylight?

Love the Nars foundation. I am pretty fair, but not extremely. I wear the color: Ceylon. This is the first time that I bought it and I think that I am going to really like it. I apply mine with a foundation brush.

let your skin clear up before using a new foundation. I had no problems with NARS sheer glow but i have normal skin and I am not sensitive. I can't say it won't or will break you out... maybe your break outs are from something other than the foundation.

Someone sent me a reply saying that dimethicone's not an oil, it's a humectant. I never said dimethicone is an oil. However I seriously doubt that it's a humectant.

Humectants and my hair don't mix. But dimethicone based prodects work great on my hair.

If anything dimethicone's a form of silicone which acts as a sealer locking moisture in and makeup out.

@jiannaelvena I would compare it to Mineralize Satinfinish Foundation by MAC which is the liquid foundation with the built-in pump. It has great coverage too. I think the NARS foundation is much easier to blend and looks nice without a powder. The MAC Mineralize Satinfiinish Foundation is one I would usually set with the mineralized skinfinish powder to look it's best.
