hey when you decided to go natural did you cut off the perm hair or just let the natural hair grow out because somebody told me i don't have to cut off the permed hair
i transitioned out meaning i did not cut it all off at once. i let it grow out for 7 months cutting a bit at a time along the way. i didnt use any formula, i found as my hair grew out, i instinctively knew when permed hair had to go...down to the last inch!
so either way is ok, its your choice - good luck :)
i really like ur videos and u too as in personality but when u just spontaneously used profanity it detracts from u and u wonderful hair.Just a thought

How do you wear your hair at night? I have a problem with staying consistent with twisting my hair so it won't be knotted up at night....I may just have to suck it up and do it, :-/ but if you have any quickies please HELP!
I have major breakage in the center of my head/hair..any sugestions on what could help growth or stop breakage..also scalp is tender in that area.....thanx...
yes. Same here. I have NO idea WHYYY that area appears weaker...when I do the exact same things to it--as I do the rest of my hair. Thus far, I've just been showing that part even MORE special attention than what is the norm. So far....so better!
Have you ever considered organizing a meetup? I know curlychronicles had one a month or so ago but she's all the way in LA. I'm over on the East Coast and would love to attend one of yours. Anyways it was just a thought.
I have family in Maryland...and would love to maybe attend like an annual BIG meetup--(assuming you live in D.C., right?)....perfer'd in the warmer months (I HATE cold weather! *sad face*)

My question is after your BC, did you find any bald spots on your scalp? I found one right in the front where I always started with the relaxer. Now I am using iodine to try and grow back the hair. If you found any or if you have heard of any remedies for growing back hair in the bald sport. I've been natural for 6 months now and have used you videos as inspirations and help in dealing with this 4B hair. I have grown a little over 2 inches since my BC in June 09.
I'd been thinking that when I scratch at day 5 and see gunk that it was because I wasn't washing the soap out of my hair good enough. I have locs and my hair is extremely dense BUT since you just mentioned that on day 5 you see gunk then that's pretty normal? I wash once a week.
How do you maintain/moisturize your hair in a twistout in order to keep it for 5 days? My twistouts/braidouts always get dry by the second-third day, matted, and if I spritz with water, frizzy. I usually keep it in a pinned up style.
do you ever wear a part in the middle or to the side? would you show us one day? i see you have a lot of hair so maybe that's not always possible! lol! just curious!
What are some good natural(non pressed) styles for the office? I am going back to corporate america prefer not to wear wigs and will not press it. As a businesswoman I want to stay natural and professional. BTW I am not the best with hair, but channels like yours help me alot. ; )
