@mccyjcb93 I made a tutorial about this fix. Long story short, install HTC sync and it will install the drivers for your phone.

@Ziefo i develop on windows too, basically you can develop for any platform on any OS, apart for iphone development (and even for iphone it can be done). Developers often prefer Linux systems, but its for more advanced users (if you want to use it well, because using the GUI isnt very hard to do ^^ ). If you know windows, use windows, then you'll maybe switch to linux when you'll think it is worth a bit of time to learn it well
