Just America? They're the very reason why piracy is HUGE in non-North American/Western Europe countries! As an Australian, I'll keep pirating 'til the day I die. Shit is far too expensive here; you want my money, you better make the damn thing worth it.
"I'm going to show these people what you (mpaa, riaa) don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world, without you, a world without rules and controls, without borders and boundaries. A world, where anything is possible".
Kewl vid! I'm watch this over and over again. You rock dude.
Quick question, what video format do you record in? Usually my computer can't play FLV files smoothly, but your vids I can watch perfectly without lag.
The best metaphor for this. Would be star wars lol. Bittorrent is like return of the jedi, that power threatens Darth RIAA. "Pirating" is also a choice though, but the hell with it. Thanks to internet powers like p2p and torrents. Corporate earth is being forced to change and eventually adapt.
Things like CD's have been way overpriced for 20 years now. So now the little people are having some fun stealing free music. What goes round comes around...I agree lawyers are useless scum.
I would have to look this up to tell the whole story, but in a nut shell. Some guy in a wet state bought water rights on land with lotsa water to sell to the dry states. Someone said selling water was like selling air. The guy with the water rights said "watch me."
Hmm. Mac, I agree that MPAA/RIAA/ASCAP/BMI and their ilk are often over-zealous, but the reason for their existence in the first place is valid - protecting the rights and incomes of artists and content providers. Sadly, the artists get the smallest share.
Caster, you don't need college. They might need you, but you don't need them. All you need is bookstores, libraries, and the internet. They are far less expensive. Save you money.
Oooh! Wait until you see my upcoming videos about music... I have some interesting views on music and copyrights. I've been studying music copyrights for a few months now... I may open up a can of worms on a few things, though :)

interesting but please say 'North America' because 'America' includes the North and South continents....thanks.
Unless you want to include the South, please don't spread the common assumption that 'America' is 'North America'.
4monkiman4 4 years ago
That is true but North American implies Canada as well as the US
theDrache 4 years ago
I guess the word "America" has also become slang for the United States. Language evolves. But what you said is still true.
