John, Can i ask you something. There was something i didnt understand in Season 1.

Marshall said he knew you from before and you took his freinds, his rep and something else.

Whats he talking about?

There was a history between Marshall & John. They were the same grade a PokéSchool and Marshall was the very popular, rich snob.

John, on the other hand, was a little scrappy kid from a middle-income family.

It was the final day of school and the two of them were pinned against each other. John had never battled before and Marshall was the son of a famous duelist.

So when they went up against each other, Marshall called out his Pokémon, as did John. But John's Pikachu One-Hit his prized Magby.

From that moment on, he had a hatred for John & never again trained another Fire Pokémon (hence joining Team Magma).
