Those are good questions. I do believe that human life has no objective value, but as inherently irrational beings, we can't care only about what has objective value, but subjective value as well. I don't have value to the universe, but I matter to myself and others, and that's enough for me. I care about society and the well-being of others even though they have no objective value. Even if I only cared about myself, it would still be in my best interest to improve society.

Playing this at my church talent show. Yeah the congregation might hate me for it...but who cares...not me. There's a couple of reasons I'm doin this one.
1: It's Sabbath and it's an awesome song.
2: It'll make them think.

Are they actually promoting Christianity, or is this a satire of people who preach religion this way? I know one thing for certain. I will still sneer when the end is near. People who try to convert others by preying on their uncertainty and fear of death and the afterlife are insidious liars. At least I don't understand why agnosticism would give the human being any objective value. All reasons for value, for example that a human life can make society a better place, are only subjective opinions. Society's goal might be to care for the wellbeing of humans, but if humans are worthless in the first place, what good would it do? Why would religion being harmful be anything bad in complete agnosticism?

Those are good questions. I do believe that human life has no objective value, but as inherently irrational beings, we can't care only about what has objective value, but subjective value as well. I don't have value to the universe, but I matter to myself and others, and that's enough for me. I care about society and the well-being of others even though they have no objective value. Even if I only cared about myself, it would still be in my best interest to improve society.

I can assure you I am not. I've given this a lot of thought and come to the conclusion that morality is a concept invented by people. I went through a nihilistic phase, but my ideas evolve and I've abandoned that. Now, I've decided that I can't be satisfied with living only for myself. I want to be great, to achieve fantastic things, and be a person I can respect. It's irrational, but I can't remove my irrationality, so I'm going with it.

Yes they are. But let's examine the word "atheist". Theist comes from the Greek root "theos" (transliterated), meaning, "god". Not referring to only the Christian God, but any god. And the negative prefix "a". Together this means, "without god" or "godless". Atheists don't believe in any god, including but not limited to the Christian one. I happen to know because I am an atheist. Now get these things right and stop using your faith to justify your ignorance.

I partially agree with that. There is a way of believing in a religion in which the follower, hereby known as the sheep, scoffs arrogantly at people who don't agree with his beliefs, but requires a priest to tell him what he believes when what he's been told thus far does not address certain problems. A few smarter people become informed about several different religions before making conclusions, and then, based on what they've learned, choose one or forgo religion altogether.
