  • FYI, glow in the dark is usually just called night sights in the gun world. Some industry jargon for you.

  • IS THAT THE.40 CALIBER AND DO U KNOW IF IT CAN USE THE P2000 CLIPS?

  • @yoISAACMENDEZ Yes, it is chambered for .40, I do not think the P2000 mags are compatible with this firearm though.

  • @tkd000pat thanks

  • A laser is a complete waste of money. If you must attach something to your gun, get a good quality light like a TLR-1 or better yet an X300.

  • Wait. The sights are glow in the dark, or are they Trijicon/Meprolite type self illuminating sights??

  • @nitrox28 They are glow in the dark sights (require a light to activate them). I did some research in my user guide and it stated they were Tritium sights (something I should have included in the video :P ).

  • @tkd000pat But tritium is self illuminating and doesn't require a secondary light source.

  • @nitrox28 hmmm, good point lol... the sights the user manual says they are might be HK branded sights now that i think about it and i dont think these are. The firearm came with them already installed.

  • you look like shia labeouf

  • Nice review. I am considering to buy this gun in the future. Is this your carry gun? If it is, how well does it conceal? What about comfortability? What position do you carry and/or find most comfortable? Kinda have the same body type as you and 5'10" in height. Thanks.

  • @aniisyare That is how tall I am. It was my concealed carry firearm but it has since been replaced by a Glock 23 Gen 4. It was pretty easily concealed, I did have to alter my wardrobe for it though... (no tight fitting t-shirts, more loose fitting button down shirts that had to be untucked, even then i had to watch how I bend over and kneel). for comfort-ability: both shooting and carrying it was comfortable, was a little heavy though. I carried it at the 5:00 position on my waist.

  • @tkd000pat The 5 o'clock position is the most comfortable carry position for me as well. What type of a holster did you use for the HK. With regards to the issues you mentioned, maybe this will be a perfect winter carry.

Glocks are very good as well, so you certainly didn't make a bad transition there at all.

    Many thanks

  • @aniisyare I use the crossbreed supertuck for my HK (the Glock fits in it as well :D but I literally JUST ordered another specifically for my glock). Both the Glock and the HK have proved to be excellant winter carries but as i mentioned earlier: i will definately be going with the Glock as my summer carry.

  • @tkd000pat sounds good. Thanks man for the information.

  • the guy got confused he met to say striker fire than rim fire. big deal get over it. look at a surefire x400 light\laser combo. streamlight is good for the money but surefire is a bit high end in my opinion

  • Instead of 'Rimfire' , which as you see posted is a type of ammo, you are looking for the terminology...'striker fired vs hammer fired'. The H&K's ,.Sig's.. etc are hammer fired. The XDM, glock's.. etc are striker fired.

  • did you shoot that in your mom's room? pink blankets?

  • @Aphabet21 LOL, my ex's guest bedroom

  • Streamlight TLR 2s. I had that on my HK P2000 and for 200$ you will get the same quality and reliability as a Surefire light, they also have great customer service... Also I assume you already know this but charging the sights with a LED light for about 10 secs will have them glow brighter than meps.

  • "hey guys, patrick he*voice cracks*re...chamber is cle*voice cracks*ear!" lol im an asshole!

  • Glock is not rim fire, you are thinking striker fired. Glock, M&P, and rifles are striker fired. You can have a hammer and be rim fire.

  • Funny guy, but review is good, gun is awsome.

  • Rim fire is for .22s Most Guns are Center fire...

  • @NASNIC32787 yes, .22 caliber bullets are rim-fire

  • Rimfire is for .22s

  • I have one too… I bought and attached a viridian C5L. Excellent and compact laser/light combo.

  • My man I Iove your pistol, but I can see your serial even with your box up. 221-000**@. Try electrical tape. It works. Check out Steamlight TLR2. It is a Light/Laser combo. Kind of pricey though.

  • @Afrikaaner11 GOD DANG IT!!! o well hahaha. think i might just take the annotations out... lol. electric tape huh? good idea. will definitely check out the Streamlight also. have not decided yet, so many options!!! :D

  • @tkd000pat One other thing you should be aware of. With your slide locked to the rear. Take a fully loaded magazine, and very firmly insert it in to the gun. The slide will slam forward chambering a round. It is a feature of the P30 series. Your's being a P30LS with a safety may make a difference. But give it a shot. I'm pretty sure it will work for you. Let me know if it does.

  • @Afrikaaner11 Just tested it and it works on the P30LS also. this pistol just took on a whole new level of badass :P

  • @tkd000pat Is that not sweet? Funny how in the video you were talking about using the slide release. Does that not seem silly now? I'll tell you what, Send me a message to my in box, and I'll tell you how to do a very easy at home trigger job.

  • @Afrikaaner11 don't think i am to comfortable modifying the trigger... really like it the way it is, thanks though!

  • @tkd000pat Fair enough

  • Its funny you say you hated the Springfield XD. I bought a XD9 and traded it in within a week! hated it. The HK kicks butt! fits like a glove, its like awwwww as soon as you pick it up. Standard backstrap and small lateral panels.

  • @MattsMDX YES! All things I LOVE about the P30L!

  • Pretty nice review, I just purchased a p30l v3 with safe and de-coker. $865.00 new from a gun shop in Pennsylvania. One thing to keep in mind you should cover up the serial number during reviews to prevent people from using it. As far as a laser/light combo, check out the Viridian x5l.

  • @MattsMDX hmmm, good piont... gunna edit it right now! Thanks for the recommendation! im definately going to check it out!

  • @MattsMDX If you don't mind, (whenever you get a chance) I would appreciate it if you watch this video again. I just added a BUNCH of annotations to cover up the serial # and want to see what you think.

    Thanks,

    Patrick

  • I am thinking about getting that or beretta px4 40 mm. How much is the one you got cost?

  • @amd1031 Dang! Should have included the cost in the video (scribbles notes for next video).

My father paid right at $1000 for my P30L but I am sure the price will range from shop to shop. We purchased it from a preferred gun shop so we did not do any price comparisons. If that is a little high, I would shop around if I were you. Hope this helps!

  • Nice Video. Viridian C5L is what you want. Congrats on your new toy.

  • @sheeco10 haha, thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback. I will definitely look into the Viridian.
