Here's an idea for all of you hippie bastards. Instead of spending all of your time bitching and moaning about a few geese getting killed, spend some money to help out the cause. Boo hoo, they killed some geese shitting in your park. They shouldn't be there anyways but it has gotten to the point where there is nowhere else for them to nest. Hunters put the money up for it, why can't you? Try joining an organization like Ducks Unlimited or Delta Waterfowl and actually make a difference.

This makes me ashamed of our southern neighbors - Canadian Geese are pillars of nature, harm no one, migrate regularly and people need to consider their natural rights. To teach children and residents that it's ok to kill them, as opposed to teaching them their history, their survival and the beaut of their characters - depicts an abusive and dangerous society.

NY has ordered 200,000 Geese be slaughtered, and the methods are akin to Nazi methods of killing people. 200,000!!!!..... that is quite a lot. And i don't hear of geese killing airplanes left and right.

There are methods to control geese at airports, bullhorns, lights, static electricity of some kind sent through the air. With today's modern technology, there must be a way of discouraging them without killing them. Who are these bastards who are "gassing" them? Do they come at night?

Humans have really gone overboard and things just continue to get worse from the murder of innocent baby mustangs and wild horses to sick young girls crushing kittens and puppies to death with stiletto heels to marines throwing puppies off cliffs. The brutality that our children are seeing day in and day out is just appalling. When will it end when our government endorses it?

Unfortunately, I am no longer surprised at the brutality of mankind. This is a global issue too, not just local. In Colorado, there is an annual Prairie Dog slaughter which always draws many entries as well as spectators. On several occassions, the City and County of Denver ok'd the "secret" poisoning of Canada Geese residing in Washington Park. What does this say about the human race, when callousness & cruelty know no limitations? God help us all.

Thank you IDA and Elaine Hendrix for coming to Mount Laurel, NJ to shed light on this horrible situation. We're hoping that the township will pass a resolution calling for the end to killing geese and promoting not only the humane treatment of geese but a humane and compassionate approach to caring for all animals residing in our town. Many residents are passionate about compassion in Mount Laurel and we won't stop until we get it! We know we're right because we have God and justice on our side
