I remember you had to configure the memory space in the BIOS before you could run it! And try playing pilot and RIO at the same time - IMPOSSIBLE! Carrier landings? Never even got close to the deck.
there wasnt a lot to this game cept good graphics for the time, as a simulation it was outclassed by su 27 flanker and for fun it was outclassed by evasive action. but i bought it anyway.
I used to play this with a Genius joystick, with parallel port (no USB back in the day), the throttle was just a small blue wheel on the left of the joystick base. And I had no rudder pedals... With some practice u could achieve to master the process of "jumping" from the front seat to the back one, operate the radar, then back to the front, and so on...
I loved this game! It actually came with a Thrustmaster joystick that was modeled after the stick in the F14s...
i loved the different tail art that you could pick as well...

I used to play this with Thrusmaster FCS - WCS, got a 4.0 from LSO most of the time. Too bad my old PC is no longer playable

I now have the game and can run it slowely on dosbox.
But i can run it on windows, (there is a windows file in the F14 map) but how??

download dosbox
once you figured out how that works, just start f14.exe in dosbox (in the right directory)
maybe f14-2win.exe is the windows version to start (i dunno, did not tested that one)
