  • It must have been extremely difficult when being gay was against the law.

  • @RayL1983 It wasn't against the law! I have more fun in the 70's being gay than anytime in this decade or any decade for that matter. It was the height of the sexual revolution and the gay revolution. Sex was everywhere!! Bath houses, parks, rest rooms, you name it, it happened. Sex shops galore. Now, that's all gone. So, you might say it was hedonistic, but I bet you would take that step back in the time machine in an instant!!! Nothing beat the 70's!!

    DISCO AL

  • funny .. Steve Rubell .. guy that started 54 .. worked very hard for his money and if he didn't have the money he went to his parents ... and invested that money .. and made money ... paid it back ... and lived life good .. funny how Capitalism is.. side note people on OWS .. Capitalism is a good thing .. just got to get ya ass out there and work

  • @SupaNami RIGHT ON !!!

  • @SupaNami That movement has nothing to do with capitalism. The issue is institutional disparities within the system.

  • @comedylaff first off, what movement are you talking about? if it's the OWS, than it does have everything to do with Capitalism .. and the movement is to take it down ... the only system that works for the Human Being,is Capitalism, it works for the poor and it works for the Rich, it's up too you to decide ya fate, you wanna be a baller .. or a shock caller ?wanna be a tire sell's man .. or the guy who own's a tire company ? .. communism, socialism don't give you the right to choose

  • it happened again in the 90's and early 2000 but all over the world not jst in 1 place..unfortatantly the harmless drug responsibble for this uniting of people in love and fun was quickly banned by the goverment..

  • I know a guy who used to go to Studio 54 back in its 70s heyday and he says those were the best nights he has ever had or will ever have. Shame my generation can't experience anything like that.

  • @whangie1 A shame indeed, I can only imagine how fun it must have been! Disco was the best music ever, so sad today's generation dismisses it.

  • Don't Leave Me This Way by Thema Houston. classic.
