Have you tried the good books of Robert M Price, ' The reason driven life'. Price is an expert in the higher criticism of the Bible, a technique which reveals the truths that apologetics miss. He makes many witty, good humoured observations. His 'The Davinci Fraud' looks at the wider historical context of Bible is also good. Wisdomcommons & Valerie Tarico talk about humanity's shared moral core & belief in Matt 7v12 The Golden Rule
1:14 that member of the council....he got caught there and then.....well, not directly no...but....RIGHT THERE, THE MAN DID NOTHNG WRONG. WHY SHOULD PILATE HAVE HAD TO DO ANYTHING TO A MAN WHO ONLY SPOKE OF LOVE AND PEACE.
The moment when Jesus wanders in after his beating, with the lights and the music playing is probably the most profound and moving in the whole six hours. (I wish the whole movie had found that kind of visual poetry more often, but sadly it didn't.)
that scene where Jesus comes into the main hall with that crown of thorns and that red cape is well done! it's one of the best scenes in the whole movie! ;)
The scene where Christ walks into Pilate's chamber is so eerie. Note Zerah's face when he beholds Jesus crowned with thorns. There is a pang of uneasy conscience and ineffable fear in Zerah's gaze.
No. Galilean.

Pontius Pilate was not "procurator." This is inaccurate. He was "govenor."

"Contrary to what most people have been indoctrinated with, Judaism,
Christianity and Islam are relatively new religions. Humanity goes
back tens of thousands of years. These three have worked relentlessly
to keep us from spiritual knowledge and using this power, of which all
of us have."
