  • Im looking at a '88 model, so far it looks in pretty good condition no rust or apparent engine problems, but i think if i ask about specific problem areas something might come up. What are the common problems that arise in the 944's that i should look for?

  • @YPUK0PALMY timing belt and balance belt, dont bother buying one without it changed, dont move until its changed unless the owner has a recipt from a month ago. dont buy a pos, pretty much all of them are rust free because they came galvanized from the factory. 88 is a good later year for the 944, get into the engine bay, get into everything, look everywhere, drive it, listen. You will feel if its a good buy or not

  • i nearly picked up one of these for $5000 in good condition with low kms. they are nice

  • 1.) i saw no drifting

2.) that my friend is no turbo, even if you have installed a aftermarket 'turbo' into it, that does not make it a turbo. the 944 "turbo" is a model of the 944 and dropping a aftermarket turbo into it does not make it a "turbo" as putting a v6 in it would not make it a 911..

that aside i like what you did with the removing of the bumper pads, makes it look much sleeker.

  • Lol. ^^

I never did like the bumper pads on them. I always liked the turbo front end much more than the 944 model.

  • @terenceil its a 944s has the body of a turbo

  • @Cory00yeah only the 944 s2 has the body of the turbo, the s had the old/normal front valence.

  • those fog lights look nice with the dual lights... is it a kit or custom? a nd like the red a black interior theme

  • yo i like that rear bumber.. what did you do to it?. bodykit? or just tint tail lights?

  • hi - tail lights are covered with heat molded acrylic lenses, center piece is acrylic covered, laser cut alum LED lit. I still have some alum panels here.

  • are these cars difficult or expensive to have work done? what gas mileage do u get

  • i have a 1986 non turbo 944. i get somewhere around 25 mpg. and work can be expensive, depending on where you live it can be difficult to find someone with the skills and specific tools to work on it. but i love the car

  • they look great. lots of vibration from the driveline, that's what bugs me most about them

  • @superspazz61 Well, they are Porsches so repairs aren't super cheap but they are pretty reasonable as far as that goes. I get about 30 mpg from mine. Thats a none turbo.

  • @superspazz61 I had a1983 and all I can tell you it's worth it

  • @superspazz61 It's a Porsche.. yes it is expensive to run and maintain... but that is why it is referred to as an ENTHUSIASTS car.

  • MINE looks the same but the inside is old and crapy because its never been changed since 82!

do u think its a good car? they say its the shitiest of the porsche but i like it more than the actual boxter. I also own a 1999 SLK 320 v6 but the i just love the way my porsche looks even tho its not very fast,,

  • Wow who says the 951 is the "shittiest of the porsche"

  • what is the first song in this video? i cant get it out of my head!!!

  • Go to fmrecords website (see link at the top of this video pane) and hit me with an email with your address. I'll send you the full album no charge from garage9. this is a sweet album man!!

  • whats the mileage on that thing?

    is it original?

how much you put into if it isnt?

  • miles were up there - it had a head crash. the 44S showed up on a trailer in pieces. we went to work. took 3 months to build it, going nuts. a lot of hours. sold it for just a few K over a typical 44S price. light build on v/good stock used engine, interior was redone, trans was good. new tube, brakes, suspension, mounts.

  • im not sure what a typical 944s price is now adays?

i know the N/A for a CLEAAAN one is like 12k

  • sold for $10K USD or $13K Cdn.

  • Ive never been in a car so nice. and the steering wheel is perfect for me. the only problem i have is that the shifter feels like slush. I there a way to fix that, if so how

  • I got the opportunity to drive one of these babies. And I got to say, MY GOD THEY ARE VERY F*%KING NICE!!!!!!!!

  • do these 944s have tilt steering wheel

  • no. you have to get comfortable around the wheel. if everything is good (mounts, engine, clutch, gear linkage etc., they drive real nice.

  • yes they do on the 85.5 and up models

  • you wish that thing was turbo.....lol

  • yes it's n/a but we got a twin turbo that will keep up with the 944T. check out the aristo video. 3.0L TT I-6 engine, same as supra 300+ HP.

  • hey im planing on getting a 944 soon

  • i didn't see any drifting and why the fast forward?

  • sweet 944... she looks mint

  • Kids...

  • big kids!

  • Is it 1987? How much difference can be felt between 924S vs 944S, 951 vs 944S??

  • 944S is a nice engine, more bits to it though. turbos are faster

  • there is a 60 horsepower gap between the 924S and the 944S.. the 944 has better handling, and the 944 Turbo is 27hp up on the 944S

My 944S is just 10hp shy of the 944 Turbo. I have had 5 angle valve job, port/polish, vented nose, authority chip.. pretty much all you can do since the stock exhaust is more than enough to handle all that intake tweaking

  • This video is from Jaeger Engineerings website. They make cosmetic add-ons for 944's, 968's, and 928's. Good stuff.

  • do they have a website?
