this version is really bad.and soviet version is really the best.from my point of view it isn't enough to read this book to play a role well.you must be at least russian to feel all of those roles.because not only NATASHA is bad,all of them don;t look like russians. ANDREI is also not very good.even the version with odri hepburn is not perfect.so,my friends, watch the soviet version, because only that film will create a right opinion about the book and russian empire.
Sorry but after seeing the Soviet version of War and Peace this just looks like a pile of puke. First, it bothers me when non-Russians play Russian roles and the woman who plays Natasha is ugly, not sweet at all like the way I saw her.
God, what an ugly actress! Natasha was a pretty brunette, and this sort of tow the horse. The music sounds like a funeral, but it's a ball. I like the Russian just insulted.
Better to watch a great classic film directed by S. Bondarchuk.
This Natasha I don't think is what Tolstoy had in mind!

The Russian version is just excellent, 90% is like the book. However, the Russian version makes Helen so old and ugly. Unfair!!!

Prince Bolkonsky was a slender young man, and then turning a masquerader bodybuilder, looking like a bull.
I'm afraid even to imagine that there is further removed.
