  • Comment removed

  • i got to this by watching whiteboy

  • the first thing you will need, is a shaver... to fix that monobrown xD !

  • lol the like bar is like a litl fag aahaha.

  • Okay I'm making one of these for airsoft. I am most likely not going to spend the majority of my time on my chest or knees (but will still spend a decent amount of time there.) Is it a bad idea to put burlap on the front of my flight suit?

  • @InsertSomthingClever you can do that but you risk snagging it when laying down, snagging is a good thing sometimes because you take some of your location with you in the form of the leaves and twigs and it makes you blend more but really its your choice and effort,

  • the greatest weapon you can use is your brain !

  • why would you call a sniper a camper of course they are DUH thats part of being stealthy not moving the human eye can pick up movement very easy

  • @Colephus Because "camping" has been given a bad rep in the world of computer games.

  • @LordVilhelm i know it makes me pretty mad that alot of people compare black ops or whatever other war game to the real world

  • CAMPER!!! xDD

  • What kind of supid comments are the top rated this time?

  • @GhillieNR yours haha :P

  • @XxSxNxIxPxExRxX If u're hearing thuds it means they're not stealthy enough...XD

  • What do you recomend, should i make stripes or burlap or should i rip up each little string i can't make up my mind

  • 6:53 excellent use of the word fancyful :D

  • You can tell by the bandaid on his finger, he's not a sewer...

  • ill use this to hide from my X wife

  • @OMGitsJalisac i guess after you destroyed her sewing machine, while making that ghillie suit to hide from her.

  • camperssss omg

  • @TypeDoubleR Your funny as mann jee you should be a comedian or something.

  • The sad thing is camouflage like this has no place or will have no place anymore in modern warfare . Urban envoirments take a bigger and bigger role because of urbanisation and globalisation .

  • I Love Shit Like This, Haha.

  • "Learn about Ghillie suits with Sergeant Monobrown!"

  • The voive ate the beginning sounds like Major John Plaster (''ultimate sniper instructional'') ????

  • you can hear the camera mans heart beat...

  • @lolzcaption Sure.

  • @StrappedWithFilm You really can, put on head phones and listen all the way through.

  • How much time it need to do?

  • THIS VIDEO ROCK

  • This guy talking, like he have a hot potatoes in mouth...:/

I can not understand and a half from he speech...:/

  • @Canis1969Lupus1 I can't understand what your saying either...

  • cool. why are you makeing 4

  • i just bought camo shorts and shirt and im done

  • All your Glues and Cloth ectra no more then $20 or $40.oo YEH! RIGHT!!!! you an't shopping down here mate! you can almost triple that Price.... But what a Great Vid. thanks for the post mate! well done...

  • okay i came here to see the camo not to look at animals what is this discovery channel

  • Outschool1000@ not necicarily because If you were a sniper in enemy area they would have patrols and helicopters searching the area am I right? You couldn't just walk out in a pink t-shirt and stripey shorts

  • This might be a dumb question but how do i avoid sweating while wearing the suit. Deoderant and sweat are both human, non-natural scents.

  • This may be a dumb question, but how do you keep from getting too hot and sweating while wearing the suit? Deoderent and sweat are both human smells. Neither is really natural. Plus when you sweat too much you start to feel sick. Any way to avoid sweating?

  • you dont need an silly ghillie suit what he wears is good anough

sniping is not about the camouflage but about the shooting skills

  • @outskool100 shooting skills is only one of the important skills he needs

  • @outskool100 Under what rock, or Call Of Duty game, have you been hiding? You are referring to the SDM (Squad Designated Marksman).

  • here's a tip.... if u use fishing wire in the construction lightly rub some sort of abrasive over it (sand paper or similar) not so much that you would weaken it, but enough to dull the reflectiveness of it in case some light happens to catch it... just an extra precaution even though a well made suit would have attachments like that below the posterior layers.

  • ummm or by a ghillie suit on ebay

  • They're not as good...

  • this vid is a waste of time, buy the time youve been shopping and man hours spent making it you could of bought one from a surplus store for around the same price as they quoted ($70 for matterials) as well as you need a industrial sowing machine

  • Well just don't watch the video if you don't like it...

  • yeah little beetle push that dinner

  • 13 people arnt all ghillied suited up!

i ghillie suited up for this

  • All gillied up!

  • wow imagination + creativity + improvisation = limitless

  • Would spray painting it not give off an odour?

  • @B3nnyBh0y1888 depends

  • i made one today it rocks thxs

  • Nothing says "HEY I am hiding over here like using Burlap!!

  • i agree heat is a weekness i found space blankets lined the inside work for heat trapping but how ever now you make a litte bit of noise. but for the commen folk and gang infeltratins it works verry well but the well funded forces forget about it.

  • or in other words "How not to be seen" by Monty Pythons. :)

  • @kaktuscar86 LOL !!!

  • @GhillieArnhem I am having trouble attaching my enviornments surroundings inside of my ghillie suit, is it okay if they just fall out when i crawl around, or should i add pockets etc?

  • Great video bro!

  • wow,i guess the ghillie suits help alot, heres what to do when wearing one:have a sniper, have a suppresser on it,start to kill some iraqis

  • @camper6466 i see you come from call of duty games.

    get out.

  • @TheINEEDAUSERNAME you is correct,KICK-TO THE ASS TO THE A-ZOM-BITCH

  • @camper6466 i hope you never join the forces the last thing we need is another ignorant kid like you who actually wants to kill someone and please tell me what good a suppressor would do.

  • @USMCSC0UTSniper a suppressor is an attachment to guns,while u have a supressor on a weapon,u shoot,it will be very quiet

  • @camper6466 Im aware of what a suppressor dos, but apparently your not aware the distances one engages there target from. the sound is not something that comes into play at ranges past several hundred meters. or the fact that most sniper systems fitted with a suppressor pos no additional benefit except to (reduce mussel flash) and lower the velocity of the round this also is an additional 1-4 pounds witch added to a snipers ruck up to 100 + pounds is not worth the additional weight.

  • To: "proud2bepinoy25"

Infra-red sensors are challenging but, an enemy authority won't use infra-red sensors "if" they don't know you're out there to begin with.

Infra-red sensors are more expensive than, night vision thus, infra-red is not standard issue to every troop and officer in the field.

  • @Bekhang95 I dont think theres forests in the middle east but fantastic reference to the predator movies =D

  • that guy has a boring voice

  • Thanks for posting these.

  • 1:43 i laughed pretty hard when i realised it was a rolling piece of shit.

  • The "little rings" at 8:01 are actually radar scattering rings to conceal the outline of vehicles from radar rather than used to attache the camouflage to the net.

  • did this guys accent remind anyone else of the guy who played agent smith in the matrix? :P

  • ill try that in future

  • What's with the dung beetle?

  • @ Proud2bepinoy25 ... heat sensors? What country that the western world is in war with, utilizes heat sensors (in number) hmm?

  • how do you get the burlap that nice dark green color with rit dye? I was using rit dark green dye and the color it dyed the burlap was more blue than green almost.

  • @jrjordanr79 just put black dye with in or use the rest of the brown... just mix ;)

  • thanks I'll try it

  • i found out what was a ghillie suit after playing call of duty 4

  • @frenze1945 fail

  • You guys are awesome

  • i kno you said to get an olive green flight suit but i was wondering if it would mess it up if i got a woodland one or a digital camouflage one

  • Haa haa, they spelt ghillie wrogn in the beginning of the vid.

  • just buy one easier

  • this is what you call a great video, he explains and shows everything thoroughly, i made an awesome ghillie suit after learning from this thanks guys!

  • Unibrow Much?

  • by the way anyone out there know how to hide from my ex wife

  • i can still see him lol

  • Good fight thermal head shot lol

  • LOL what?! "The african dung beetle however, is just trying to take dinner back home."

  • @KingR3aper LOL wtf

  • how can they avoid infrared? Like from a helicopter? such as you see in those police chase videos. Or even from infra red scopes on rifles?

  • paintball4ever that would be so useless lol

  • I'd like a hot pink ghillie suit

  • @PaintballForEver1000 then you could hide in any gay club?

  • the weak of camouflage is heat sensors...

  • @proud2bepinoy25- Not really bud. I've spent many hours behind thermals. ALOT of objects give off a heat signature, without movement you just look like another hotspot.....

  • @RIA1911a1 LOL

  • @proud2bepinoy25 they have the non-heat suits now....where the infrared heat camera can`t see....

  • @proud2bepinoy25 you can use a themal net

  • @proud2bepinoy25 most issue camo now is infra red reflective, to help camo in dark, but obviously home made wont be unless you can get IRR raw materials.

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Digital camo helps with that

  • @proud2bepinoy25

They now have special material in the suite that blurs out the thermal sensor.

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Yeah I always wondered about thermal, but now they have these suits that remain cool on the outside, minimizing detection

  • @proud2bepinoy25 there are special IR resistant nets for that but inly for tent o cars not soldiers

  • @proud2bepinoy25 no caz they have trics to avid being found

  • @proud2bepinoy25 and the weak of heat sensors is thermal blankets

  • @proud2bepinoy25 for that you can use a thermal net

  • @proud2bepinoy25 you realize a good sniper can clip a man before they even have time to look at a sensor.. plus i doubt any of our current enemies have thermal sensors, do you know any terrorists with thermal detection equipment?

  • @scottkellogs They have thermal blankets now that take away your heat signature

  • @scottkellogs civilians can purchase high tech thermal detection equipment for ur info, and thermal detection stuff is not useful to insurgents, they do not have a hard time finding the occupying force, rather the occupying army is usually the 1 who doesw not know where insurgents are, so they use thermal detection stuff, but jus to let u kno it is not foolproof, there r suits u can wear which take away ur heat signature

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Hahaha we have IR proof clothing like the us armys bdu`s.

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Ah, but that is where IR reflective technology comes in, it blurs the body's heat signature. Also, thick clothing can insulate you, giving less of a thermal signature. Iraqi militiamen used thick blankets to hide their infrared signatures from Western thermal sensors. If I wore a ghillie suit (maybe an IR reflective one) with enough layers underneath, hiding in a forest, even with a TWS (thermal weapon sight) you'd still have a job hunting me down.

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Answer: multispectral camouflage.

  • @proud2bepinoy25 not if u use a thermal net ;9

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Thats why they wear wet suits which reduce the amount of body heat released.

  • @proud2bepinoy25 if you got a ghillie thik enught you shuld not be spoteble on heat sensors and infrareds

  • @proud2bepinoy25 Not anymore :) I think theres some sorta thermal blankety thing XD Saw it on James May's show

  • @proud2bepinoy25 true. but even if you had heat sensors. your no match for 10 men in camouflage. thats when i call in my RPG!!

  • @proud2bepinoy25 you can wear heat absorbing jacket and cover face with the same type of matrial..

  • @proud2bepinoy25

But you can use multispectral camo materials that will reduce or eliminate your thermal signature

  • @proud2bepinoy25 OR THERMAL VISION

  • i think its weird that many people think that the guys on this channel are the people in this tutorial The art of camouflage l* they have just uploaded it

  • If i bedazzled my ghillie suit would the enemy see me?

  • yes but you would look so damn good the wouldent shoot

  • @ucfsig03 lol try it and see if they do xD

  • @ucfsig03 lol

  • wonder if jb wel would work in place of shoe goo ?

  • campers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • u couldnt just attach a net to the suit and get extra long jute and tie it so the jute has half goin each way? basically tie the jute in the middle to the net then just attach it to ur helmet/ BDU.

  • @glaxko2

they blend in with eachother instead of the background. and 'cause a lion can only see black and white they look like one giant moving blob and it gets very difficult to single one out.

  • that actually makes perfect sense...

  • @glaxko2 they are heard animals. when the whole group is moving around, all those stripes confuse the eye of predator animals. its less effective on humans, because our brain is more powerful than say a lion. they arent stealthy in the same way a ghillie suit is... their stripes are more of a disruption to the predator. the moving pattern is confusing, making it hard to pick out just one zebra from a distance :)

  • The stripes on the zebra makes it hard to see how far away it is, the navy used to paint stripes on their ships aswell.

  • ok like 5 people already have answered my question!

  • @glaxko2

Their camouflage is a purely disruptive one. Like Dazzle camouflage.

  • Great Directions very informative

I was curios if i made one and dyed it and held on to the dye if i would be able to re-dye the burlap over and over again.

  • @irhall93 In my experience the dye will get used up, with diminishing dying power the more fabric you use it on. The dye is pretty cheap, not really worth saving.

  • ok

also could the burlap be redyed?

  • why would he even need to mention hot pink?

  • Hey ortafix, The materials are: sacco di iuta, colla da scarpe, stringhe di tela, filo, piante artificiali, Camo compensazione o di qualche sorta di compensazione

I thinks thats how you spell them in italian

  • which is best?buying a normal green flight suit and spraypainting the front or buying a kind of...bdu flight suit(already camouflaged)so u dont have to spraypaint the front..?

someone reply plz cause i need help

  • Woodland isn't believable, so i would stick to being prone or crouched in a Olive Drab suit.

  • i would say that you have to decide for yourself... You can buy the bdu kind, but then you would have to paint the canvas and then the uniform would kind of look off and unnatural

  • This is SO cool!!!!

  • what is the jacket the guy that is doing the talking wearing?

  • ehy guys could someone write here all the matirials needed to make a ghille please? p.s. i'm italian so i can't undestand at all everithing

  • ...burlap sack, shoe glue, burlap strings, yarn, artificial plants, camo netting are the basics.

  • im wonder like for the canvas or that rubber material were to buy it

  • P:S: you spelt ghillie suit wrong

  • They only mispelt "Yeti" and "Ghillie" once and that was in the begining of the video.

    Otherwise, they spelt it correctly.

I think maybe someone else editted the video.

  • They were invented in Scotland.

  • @spartan5536 Gille is actually the correct Gaelic spelling where the Ghillie suit came from...

  • im gonna make a ghillie suit thanks guys

  • Comment removed

  • I use various forms of camo, but these systems kick it up a notch for sure.

  • this actually works i did it and played paint ball with my friends they couldnt see me until they were 10 ft away

  • nice...that musta been cool, nice work

  • Why were you 10 ft away!?

    That could hurt. =x

  • be good for the desert at night

  • strunway dude are u taking ur medications? watch ur tongue before u say shit like that.........

  • where do you get the material camo

  • how far down would go on ur arms with the netting

  • the baby thompson gazelle has no scent...

The baby cheetah has fur on the top of their backs...

and this dung beetle is carrying his dinner home

    lol

  • i dont care how a tiger blends in
