You're so beautiful. You don't look like you're in your 40's at all. Obviously you're doing something to take care of yourself well and it shows. Wow. You look amazing.
hi, whats your opinion on this guy called dr judd who said glycerin prevents tooth remineralization? people are saying glycerin is bad? but you have perfect teeth? its confusing
only 1 tbsp of veg glycerine??...the glycerine is mainly to turn it into a paste corrcet??..& if i wanna make it a lil less abrasive wen starting out on this toothpaste can i add way more glycerin to dilute the baking soda??i feel like the dentiste is filling my head with crap...
hi again i've been using your recipe and put the coconut oil in aswell and it's working well, i ran out and had to use normal toothpaste and it felt so harsh compared with the homemade. Also ppl have already been commenting that my teeth look whiter and it's only been a month!!! the only problem seems to be the thickness of the paste. it seems to dissolve too quicky and i have to keep reapllying more paste which means im going through it quite quickyly. how would you suggest i thiken the paste.
@D1rtyWhite You can try to add more baking soda to thicken it but honestly I don't think it will work because once water or saliva in your mouth hits it it will desolve quickly. I usually make several batches at a time and stack them in my counter drawer.
I'm glad you are seeing positive results!!! Everyone that has tried it loves it.
so what's the deal with hydrogen peroxide and glycerin, there in 9/10 recipes i've found but theres alot of mixed views on whether it's safe or not for daily use, and if it's not what should i use daily instead. I dnt really have time to waste trying something which might damage my teeth more so i really need some1 to tell me whats up quick so i can get the ingredients and get brushing!!
@D1rtyWhite This is what I use and I have no damage. I suggest you try it or not it's up to you. I use the glycerin to soften the baking soda to make it less abrasive therefore preventing enamel loss. I sometimes rinse my mouth with peroxide mixed with water not often just on occassion.
@D1rtyWhite I have never tried any of that but it sounds wonderful. I'm allergic to cinnamon at least the cinnamon flavored floss but the myrrh and clove oil sounds great...I would try it. My advice to you is to listen to your intuition you will not go wrong.
@starlamotivates ok i got the ingredients, i think im gonna use coconut oil instead of glycerin, in your experience do the essential oils need to be organic? i'm in the uk i bought the brand amphora but i noticed they also have organic oils when i looked on thier website (which were not in the shop) i got peppermint, clove, and myhrr. From my understandin there is beauty/food grade. I had a wisdom tooth out a week ago so i dnt wanna infect and whatnot.
@D1rtyWhite Coconut oil is a great choice, I will be using it in my next batch...Since you are using it in the mix you will be ok all coconuts are "organic" its just the processing that is different...if I were eating it or cooking with it I would by the virgin cold pressed unrefined version but any kind is good for this. Coconut oil is a natural anti-bacterial agent so that makes it very good for this. Keep me posted on how you like it!
How long does the batch last? Also, do I have to use the peppermint? I am doing all of this to treat endometriosis naturally and I'm supposed to avoid mint.
A few months ago I watched this video and it inspired me to research fluoride and conspiracies behind it. I found it very interesting from a scientific and political perspective. But also, as a new age eco-friendly organic-eating hippie, I found the content of your video very useful because all the natural toothpastes I have tried have failed me with their ingredients lists. Good job to you and thank you for a more natural alternative.
I've been making similar toothpaste myself, it works well but I can't get the consistency right.
basically I use a bottle and after a few days the consistency is thrown off (liquids float up basically), I'm starting to think the best approach is use a round container for the paste instead - mix it once a week and dip the toothpaste in it. (instead of pouring out of a bottle)
I'd really like to hear some thoughts about this cheers
thank you for showing me how to make the paste. I also have a natural toothpaste, but it is totally with herbs. Feels like you had your teeth cleaned by the dentist. Thank you
What is the consistency of the concoction? The ingredients you listed are the only ones? maybe, could you list the ingredients or make it on video. Actually show the making of it. Thanks.
Bless you too,may I ask you if you drink coffee or tea and how often?Yeah,Old School is the best way anyways with a lot of things in my personal opinion....I like personal gardens too, great exercise and very good food.
I use to drink a pot of coffee daily for many years...since I've been on my optimum health journey I rarely drink coffee but I do consume at least 2 cups of herbal tea a day...there are no stains on my teeth. Thanks for commenting!
I have a enamel problems and I have braces right now. The dentist gave me special toothpaste to use for right now. I definitely want to try this but I'm not sure whether to wait until my braces are off or not.
Thank you for the recipe. I've been using regular toothpaste for most of my life and I am very lucky not to have any cavities. I am DONE using fluoride after reading all the negative things about it... it's very frustrating knowing that they put it in the drinking water where I live. It should be personal choice.
I try to use baking soda only twice a week (as a facial exfoliate and teeth cleaner), because I recall reading that too much baking soda for your teeth can damage the enamel because it is such an abrasive substance... making the enamel on your teeth thin... and making them sort of appear "over-whitened"
im an aromatherapist and you should NEVER use pure essential oils in ur mouth! let alone 10 drops! the most in a day is 8! and thats on the skin mixed with something like cream or oil!
I have studied aromatherapy as well...I'm not using 10 drops in my mouth or 8 in a day for that matter...the amount of toothpaste that I made actually lasts for about 2-3 months so based on that its very little essential oils in the mouth and it is diluted. Thanks so much for your comment.
Thank you, you're very kind! You can use a baby food jar to store it or any small glass or plastic container to store it. I make small batches that usually last for 2 months. It never goes bad sometimes it will loose its moisture content and dry out a bit all you have to do is add a lil water and mix with a spoon and it will work like new.
ur so hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot@over 40
LOL
U looked 30 no lie..
Yo i read baking Soda is bad for teeth cuz it erodes enamel...but i cant find much on it just yes and nos like ppl say yes its bad and no its not hard to tell. Flouride Tooth Paste is horrible cuz it does the same... Baking soda does whiten in Cuba when my grandmother lived there the Cubans would use Baking soda straight up and my grandmother got me to try it...it does whiten but is this healthy for EVERYDAY USE?
you are very kind! I will say that I use it everyday and my tooth enamel is fine. I believe they want to scare you so that you will continue buying their poison.
......yea maybe ur right becuase i was looking in the walgreens for non-flouride toothpaste but no luck =[
and all i ever see on these home made videos is baking soda and oil. My grandmother told me never to use it evry day but if it hasnt made ur teeth fall out or crack ill take ur word for it lol thanks for the reply.
I did find one thing abt it that certain(not all)ppl are sensitive to it and it makes theyre gums bleed if this happens then its not for them.. but its rare.
@starlamotivates aghhh!...this is al so confusing coz my dentist said( well the hygenist) that its bad to brush with baking soda everyday...but if uve been doing it for ever...then maybe i guesss i could use alittle baking soda..i did use baking soda for like a week or something and it whitened my teeth
@Wi3Rdo0 Yes, I've till this day never had a problem with it. When its mixed with other things such as glycerin its not very abrasive. Have the dentist and hygienist told you what to do to avoid cavities and it worked? Ijs...imo if they actually told you what to do to avoid tooth decay they wouldn't have very much business.
@starlamotivates yea ive thot of the bizness thing..i guess ur rite, becuz ive preety much never had a tooth decay problem either coz i brush everyday but honestly i sometime feel the toothpaste dosnt do a very good job coz i can still feel the fuzzyness..if i were to mix water with my baking soda to dilute it abit wat ratio wud u recomend??
i made mines with baking soda and salt. The salt has natural curative properties plus it helps with the baking soda to fight stains. I'm guna try this out see how it works for a while. Just to let u knw without the oil It does taste "different" than what ur used to lol. Peace homey :)

WOW you do have great teeth! Thank you for sharing your recipe. I've seen many non flouride recipes online, but wasn't convinced to use any for I don't know if they even use them at all, but after watching you I am convinced of your recipe! Thank you!
This is really cool. Thank you very much. I use Toms natural toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Is there anything you can add to for sensitive teeth?
I grew up loving mustard, so my teeth are really yellow (despite almost obsessive teeth brushing). Is there a natural way to get rid of yellow stains without hurting my sensitive teeth?
Have you ever used charcoal? My friend mixes it with Gum Joy oil and he swears by it. I have never tried it.
I brush twice daily as well and plan on trying this recipe using the recommended measurements at first try. With the same measurements that you've suggested, how long does it last for you? Thank you. Bless you...
I thought essential oils could only be used in a topical manner? I do use essentials oils, but on scalp. And you are right about baking soda - it does clean teeth like no other.
You could not be anywhere near 40!!!! YOU ARE SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL AND YOUNG LOOKING!!! JUST AMAZING! I love your locks as well. Now, about the toothpaste, non-flouride toothpaste is best because, there is an enzyme in the saliva that prevents soft spots from forming within the tooth enamel - and the use of flouride kills this enzyme over time.
Thanks for this video, my boys are the same with no brushing. They say that toothpaste taste nasty. I have to try this. I hope this works for us they are driving me crazy.
Hi Lori, it just helps it to go on a lil more smoothly. I would suggest trying it with & without to see what I mean. Vegetable glycerin can be used internally as well as externally without any harmful side effects.
