  • thumps down for the audio quality .. shit ....i'm really trying harder to watching your video coz it is helpful for me coz i live in a very hot country but never ever use that audio again.. anyways great video ...i will haunting for that MOM

  • @xcelinemylesx This is from ages ago.. my latest videos are in HD

  • Thanks for this, just wondering if its okay to use an alcohol based cleanser at night instead? (my one gets rid of blackheads so wel and i still like it)

  • I am SO going to buy some today. I get an oil slick on my forehead and have very fine hair and so my fringe gets oily and it's nasty so thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. Hope it works for me! xxx

  • how long does the mattifying effect last ?

  • so does this milk of mag shrink pore size or does it keep the pore size the same and just act as a absorber or the oil? the only way to really stop oily skin it to shrink the pores, my pores are so big i can literally see the oil ooze out of each pore, within 30-45 mins of washing my face, my face is so oily you can fry an egg on it.. damn hormones.

  • I tried MOM and it broke me out really bad. Do you have any suggestions for guys? I don't think I would be too good at applying makeup. lol

  • thanks, great info

  • THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! i've suffered with oily skin for over 20years and I will never forget when my crush in highschool touched my face and said,"ew...what's all that grease all over your face? you can cook eggs with it!" (lol kind of funny now that i think about it) but ever since then, i've spent over 100's of dollars trying to find a product to help with my oily skin but nothing worked!

  • i use the boots instant matte, it works pretty well for $6, its not the best but it helps a bit. but what i have been using for a few days, and has been working really well to help reduce my oil is a setting powder in sheer from earth diva cosmetics. i havent even had to blot really; just blot off sweat cuz its been REALLY hot. haha. and its certified vegan :)

  • @AmBeautyBot89 is the boots instant matte a lotion or primer?

  • Hi! i just subscribed to your channel, I have used milk of magnesia too and it works better than anything else i've used BUT it does make my pores look huge : ( Have you figured out how to fix that problem yet? I am thinking about putting a primer on after milk of magnesia to fill in the pores. Thanks for the great video, it was really helpful : )

  • audio quality is HORRIBLE!!!

  • i use maybeline super stay liquid makeup and age rewind powder also from mabeline but it only lasts a few hours then my skin looks blotchy and super super oily. know of anything to help?

  • @ambarcanflyxxx Revlon Colorstay is better that Maybelline :/

  • @ambarcanflyxxx also try almau tlc its great for oily skin

  • I just wish that my oil glands would go away! After like 5 hours i feel like I am just dripping in oil! I mean I don't have acne, just an ocasional pimple but the oil just is gross):

  • i love how ur eyeshadow matches ur top.. cute!

  • @emaoneluv I know I am a matchy freak haha thanks for stopping by

  • Thank you for the tips!

I didn't know that foundation turning orange happened to everybody with oily skin. I thought I just had the wrong shades!

  • @MyCrazyAngel09 :) I know I hate that

  • gosh, my Grandpa used to have this stuff all the time for different ailments! It's very informative, erm this is going in my basket @ my next visit to Tesco's.

    Thanks xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @Broadsword255 LOL I know they didn't have a lot of options back in the day so they had to get products for multitasking... thank YOU for watching

  • omg that helped sooo much! Your skin & makeup looks amazing, bella. I'm def going to use the MOM after washing my face & then my moisturizer. Have you noticed any DRY areas on your face due to the MOM?

  • @chanstara Glad it helps :) .. I haven't noticed any adverse reactions at all after like a year of using it every time I do my makeup, but I don't wear makeup everyday though... try to see how your skin reacts :)

  • it looks like my makeup sinks into the pores on my nose, even with a primer. it's really weird i wish i could explain it. :(

  • @Metallicrose maybe you need another kind of primer, like pore-fessional by Benefir or LOreal Studio Secrets, one with a more Moussy consistency, that really fills in the pores :)

  • @beautybargainhunter

that's the thing! i use Loreal Studio Secrets.

    I don't know what's wrong.

  • @Metallicrose oops :( then I don't know girl D: ... wish I could help :*(

  • *sigh* this is my last hope, I've tried just about everything for my oily skin and I've wasted soo much money. I really hope this works ._.

  • wat moisturizer do u use??

  • @milamonster cetaphil lotion

  • you have very similar skin to me D:

  • I love how you put pictures so we can see, I tried it and LOVED it. I put it on with a clean foundation brush on my t-zone and i have really oily skin. It made my pores look smaller too it was great. so thank you!!!

  • thats cool you showed pictures cuz so many people can just talk about it. I have super oily skin and ima try it. Ill let you know how it goes for me =)

  • Can't wait to try it.

  • The MOM trick is awesome!! Thanks for this video. I started using the Mattify! Ultra Powder for Oily Skin a few months ago and LOVE it! So now, for even more oil control, I put the MOM on first, then the Mattify Powder, then my makeup. No oil for like 6 hours. Woohoo!!

  • doesnt wich hazel have alchol in it?!

  • @hacerican Hi I'm not absolutely 100% sure but I thought I read somewhere that all essential oils have some alcohol added to them as a preservative? It would only be a teensy amount I think?

  • @sexybabibi With hazel is not an oil... I think.. :/

  • I use Estee Lauder serum and would like to try using milk of magnesium. After i do the tonic which one should i use first? Normally after i let the serum soak in i do a biologically friendly lotion and sunscreen before i start. Let me know.

  • Hola!

  • I really enjoyed all your videos but why they are so longggggggggggggggg its getting borig :(

  • have you ever used this product!??? Regeneration Chemical Peel (BeautiControl)..im thinking of using it!??any insights and reviews!??.. WOULD REALY WNAT TO SEEK UR ADVICE BEFORE USING THIS PRDUCT!>..love the videos thanks!

  • @16and30 never heard of the product but I'm so curious about Beauticontrol!!

  • @beautybargainhunter OK..!!!! hope u make a video for it! but ive herd alot of great news about their chemical peel that you can apply at home for only 40 bucks...PLEAS EMAKE A VIDEO :)

  • @fairy4angel yes, I do... it stinks but it works, controls oil and purifies and it's super cheap :)

  • i use milk of magnesia... but it doesn't help me much.. can you tell me why? i mean it makes it less oily but I'm still quite oily after a couple hours...

  • @mewarnyou maybe you have to use it in conjunction with an entire skin care routine specifically designed to control oils... :)

  • Help! I tried a lancome face primer under my makeup (after moisturizer) this morning & by noon my face was an absolute oil slick. I'm acne prone with oily skin and it's not unusual for my skin to look shiny an hour after makeup application with visible large pores. I'm apprehensive about using MOM. Any suggestions, tips or product tests? Btw I use Mac studio fluid fix...could that contribute?

Thank you for the vid and your insight. :)

  • @viperwedgie SFF gets really oily on me, Revlon colorstay is very similar but mattifies and stays on... Try MOM! you might love it :)

  • @beautybargainhunter Will do. Tx for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated!! :)

  • I treated my oily/acne prone skin with OCM(oil cleansing method) or just with water sometimes, vitamins and drinking green tea on a daily basis to cleanse my body. I gotta say my skin today after a month of doing this have never looked better my skin isnt oily AT ALL its well mosturized, smaller pores and blackheads I had for years on my nose are now gone. Every skin is different and mine reacted great to the natural way of cleaning it =)

  • @lalabunnybr thanks for the tips!

  • This video is so helpful and informative. Thank you for sharing your tips!!!

  • @lg4065 I am glad you liked it!

  • i tryed the milk of magnesia and it actually made my skin oilier :( i was really hoping it would work for me.

  • @MuzicLova26 every skin is different.. :( sorry!

  • @MuzicLova26

sorry to hear that! Milk of Magnesia actually controlled my oily skin, and now I don't have to use it anymore

  • @MuzicLova26 Same =( It also clogged pores and I ended up breaking out and having tons of black heads

  • I feel your pain sister! More oil shoots out of my pores that the busted well in the gulf.

    5 stars because you're pretty.

    5 stars because you're helpful.

5 stars because you shows us your skin without makeup.

  • @letspaintournails LOL I hate large pores!! thank you so much for your comment!! so sweet!

  • What eyeshadow are you wearing on your lids in the photos where you are comparing the products. It's very pretty. ;-)

  • props to this girl for showing her face without makeup :) gorgeous makeup and awesome video! can't wait to try this cuz my face is such a grease ball haha.

  • Your face looks awesome! I have super shiny skin. Also, acne prone skin. So i am afraid to try it but i bought it after watching so many of these. What foundation do you use?

  • Your eyemakeup is hot!

  • @bslorbust thanks!

  • Wow, milk of magnesia... who'd have thought? Someone who was extremely bored obviously but I might just try it. Thank you!

  • i like all your topics in your vids but i just cant listen to them clearly.. very poor sound quality .. im sorry but no offense.. is there any way you can fix it?

  • @illestflipmamii Hi, bought an HD camera but I just cant figure out how to convert and edit the files!! can you believe it?? and I just gave birh so it makes it more difficult to figure that out lol... thnx for the input

  • I tried the MOM and absolutely loved it, BUT I've since stopped using it because it started to break me out. I mean SERIOUSLY break me out, with numerous cystic type pimples....Its a drag too because I really liked it. Has this happened to you?

  • @tlnicholas No, never :( sorry to hear that...

  • you aremostly beaytifull without makeup !

your own makeup is to heavy

  • @broadcastvanilla I like to play around with it :)

  • Alright so I definitely want to try this, however I'm not sure which to get.. The 'original' flavor? The 'sugar-free' one? Does it matter if I even get a cherry or mint one?! Heeelp :(

  • @Kx1942O2212 It must be the original. no flavor one... cherry or mint have artificial flavors that will get sticky and gross :)

  • i love ur eyebrows!

  • the mint milk of magnesia didn't work for me, so I will be trying the regular version! I've never found a makeup primer that worked with my oily skin before.

  • interesting. I have actually tried the mint Milk of Magnesia before (simply because that's what I had in the fridge), but it didn't seem to help my oily skin at all. I'll give the original formula a try, since I've read lots of good reviews for it on Makeup Alley.

  • I tried Milk of magnesia and IT WORKED!!!! Thank you so much. It is so amazing that I can still see my blush in the evening, my foundation does not flow anywhere and I can save money by not buying huge amounts of powder/blot paper. Gracias por ayudarnos querida!!!

  • @cserannie80 :oD

  • Try not to overuse milk of magnesia! It worked for me like a miracle for about 7 months, everyday, keeping me oil free for sooooooooooo many hours, but recently it just stopped working its like my face is used to it :(

  • u taught sooo much. i made every common mistake u listed. soo glad i found u. Im' subscribing. BTW, what lipstick/lipgloss r u wearing???

  • @VeryHappy2bMe thanks!! It was a NYX gloss in a squuezable tube that looked deep orange dont have the name I lost it :*(

  • I can't wait to try this great tip on myself!!!gorgeous!!!!

  • very informative about oily skin & how to use m.o.m. with moisturizer, thanks so much =)

  • Wonderful video, thanks for sharing. What do you think about making a concoction of products of maybe milk of magnesia, moisturizer, and the chaffing gel and maybe some foundation? Have you ever tried something like this???

  • @thistlerocks I haven't strictly mixed them, but I notice that when I don't let the products dry or absorb in between, makeup looks weird, like cakey... it is better to let MOM dry, then moisturizing, let it sink into the skin, then the chaffing gel and let it also dry.. :)

  • Love your makeup! You don't wrinkle as much lol but now I am having acne since I relocated to a dry area from a humid moist area. Not cool. So I am going to try

  • Thank you! Thank you! you are a life saver!

I have oily skin and I 'm "shinning" all my life.I'm gonna try your tips and see if it works for myself as well.

You are beautiful inside out. please continue with your videos they are in lightning.

    Thank you,

    Elite:)

  • Can you buy his stuff in london england, sounds arlight, might try it out. :)

  • I'm totally going to go out and try this now, because my skin so oily! Even before I leave the house if feels like my foundation is sliding ff.

  • as shiny as the moon in october?

  • you are hot:)

  • Would MoM last under the sun?? Have you tried? Does it work?

  • thank you for this..

  • I'm a guy and I have very oily skin. The MOM has definitely helped. My skin is ridiculously oily. But it has helped even me. So I can see how it would help folks with less oily skin. My skin doesn't stay "matte" for as long as it might for others... but it's a big improvement. I'm thrilled and very grateful. I'm also angry that the cosmetics industry is robbing us blind with $30, $40, $50 products that don't work, when MOM only costs a few bucks. Some might even find it at their local $1 store!!

  • Haha! As shiny as the moon in October. I like that..

  • sorry if I already posted this.. i dont think i did lol

umm so should i use moisturizer before or after applying mom?

  • Hi! um i was a bit confused at the part when you talked about moisturizer..

should i put on my moisturizer after applying mom or before?

  • @Litttledolphin4 She said that it's harder to blend when you put M.O.M. AFTER moisturizer and sunblock. So what she does is she puts M.O.M. first then everything else.

  • Yes, I used to use really harsh things on my face because I had very oily skin, and it would break out so bad, but now I treat my skin very gently and it is sooo much better.

  • i use oil free eye makeup remover from neutrogena.. which one do you recommend then,,,im sorry i have one more question .. so i put black eyeliner on the lower eye and it always smears below my eye ...

  • my skin in general is not oily but lately my eye lids are ...ive used mac paint pots, too face shadow insurance.. and my shadow always crease... pls help!!

  • @daisygarcia86 Check your makeup remover or any product that you have been using on your lids... a little bit of long lasting foundation like revlon colorstay, or a thin and well blended layer of long lasting concealer like maybelline super stay 24hr on your dry lids before actual primer like the ones you have can help

  • @daisygarcia86 have you tried Urban Decay Primer Potion because I have really oily eyelids and that has helped alot. it stays for about 8-9 hours depending on the weather:) you might like it, unless you already did and you don't like it:) lol

  • Doesnt witch hazel have alcohol in it...

  • @OhSincha3 No, it's a plant extract, but there's some toners that contain it and alcohol as well, so read the label carefully ;)

  • Thanks for all the great tips....

  • you are pretty even without make-up! what is the ingredients of milk of magnesia? we dont have it here in our country. can you recommend an alternative? pleassssee....

  • @kim103live

    The active ingredient is

Sodium Hidroxide, look for it in antacid-

constipation relief products in your country,

but without any additives like color or

    glucose... :)

  • thank you very helpful video

  • MOM works AMAZING!!!

I have very oily acne prone skin and had used mac, lancome makeup primer that made my skin more oily

But this stuff is like 3 dollars (at CVS, Walgreens under laxitave section) and it actually works!! After school my face isnt even a little oily. Ive also noticed i get less acne because my face is not oily.

The down side only is that after you put it on it when it dries it leaves a little white milky residue, but can be easily covered with foundation.

  • if i use MOM, and then a moisturizer, can i still use a oil free primer?

  • does it let your skin breath? did u get more acne from this?

  • such a great and amazing video!! if i could rate 10 stars, i would!!

  • I liked your intro, but it was wayyyyy too long. Thank you for doing the video.

  • i have blackheads, milia and acne on my face.plz sugst me how to take care nd wat kind of products should i use dat vl be availaible 2 me in india.

  • Proactiv Solution is the best, they send their products all over the world. Trust me, you will LOVE it!!

  • PS: How do you use Witch Hazel? I've been reading on all it's skin benefits (i.e. treatment of acne) and I think I'm def going to buy it. So do you think a new daily process include Noxzema-->Witch Hazel-->MoM--> mosturizer?

  • absolutely!! witch hazel is used just as any astringent-toner, right after your cleansing...

  • i know this is kinda random but what's the difference (if any) between regular powder and founation powder?

  • setting powder just sets the makeup as does not contain enough pigments to offer coverage, and foundation powder is intended to cover flaws and even out skin tone

  • I am so thankful for this video, I have insanely oily skin, and I did the bad things you were saying like constantly using alcohol, I am going to try this helpful tip, however I have never used a moisturizer before-what do you recommend?...also you face is beautiful and your accent is as well, would you mind if I asked your ethnicity?...usually I can figure that out, but it's too hard to figure out with you lol.

  • I am mexican :) I recommend you Cetaphil i awesome! lightweight, oil free and cheap, and readily available at any walmart target drugstore etc :)

  • I tried magnesia too, also by reading make up alley! Caritoco is my user :) it worked only for 2 or 3 weeks :( then my face started to kinda "get used" to it.. and there I was, back to the oil slick again :( nothing works for me :(

  • maybe you might need to alternate it then, or some days you dont shake the bottle very well, when I dont, I dont feel the Power lol but when I shake it the best if feel the hardcore effect...

  • That's awesome! I'll try it asap! but wait what foundation should I use powder/mousse/or liquid?

  • Any foundation, but you have to put a light moisturizer or sunblock before any foundation, specially a powder one, or it might turn to be too chalky...

  • hey, u kinda look like venetianprincess

  • whoa thanks :)

  • Hi!!! I know this is kinda weird but... Im a male and I have extra oily skin... does this will work for me too???

  • hello, i was wondering if i can still use the milk of magnesia trick even without makeup?

i stopped using powder because its clogs my pores but i do wear sunscreen everyday.

    thanks:]

  • @RAWRstefffy I'm Like you, i want to know too =)

  • Hey so I tried this and it works pretty gooood in absorbing oil and makes me less shiny.. BUT its hard for my make up to blend well when i use it.

Am I putting too much ? Or does the milk of magnesia makes it so make up doesnt blend as well ?

  • you're funny :) i learned a lot

  • I've heard of this but your explanation and showing application was so useful, I'm now going to go get some thank-you!

  • WOW thats nice. can u do a tutorial on the makeup your wearing that deep red

  • haha!! you r soo dramatic its hilarious. but u make a lot of sense. audio could be better but u know your stuff so i rate a 4 stars not a 5 cus it was kind of bad audio.

  • 5 stars for you because you show your face without makeup! :)

  • Thank you so much!! xoxo

  • love your makeup ... as always!!!!! i started using the mom i was wondering do u still use it it works great for me thanks !!!!!!! you r awesome!!!!!!!

  • :) yay

  • So do you apply it at night before going to bed? or in the morning?

  • before makeup. It's a primer not a treatment

  • Okay thanks (:

  • @beautybargainhunter

actually it can be a treatment 'cause I apply it at night and my acne it's almost gone(:

  • @GrisseLx Can U Tell me how to use it as a treatment please!!!!

  • @JanyCS

I just apply it at night after I wash my face, do you want it for acne?? because the thing that has cleared my acne really fast is salycilic acid gel and after that benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment...

  • @GrisseLx Yes i want it for acne but i also use benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment. So I should wash my face and then use the Milk and nothing else or do you put moisturizer and spot treatment too?? What salycilic acid gel do you use??? =)

  • okay, it worked like its AH-MAZING!! :D Well it isn't good enough for me because I still get oily after a while but I found out my own regime that can keep me like paper matte all day! Ok, not paper matte but matte like those normal people out there! Like seriously! I use pond's white beauty lightening cream under MoM and MAC's blot powder on top and I stayed matte all day! Something I thought that I'd never achieve! AWESOME!!!!!!! Oh and the pond's cream help ALOT at maintaining the matte-ness.

  • Great Video Girl......Thanks a Bunch!

  • i tried this and it doesnt work for me . . and i have very oily skin

  • WHOA you look totally different without makeup! What what the world be like if girls didnt wear makeup????? EW

  • A++ Video. Thank you for the tips!

  • Yea layc my face became very red and I broke out as well. My skin was actually starting to look rougher in a way so I stopped using it. Now I use it rarely or not at all. I'd be careful and see how it works for you.

  • I was really excited when I hear about this from ericaleigh777's channel, so I bought it. Well, it worked to keep my face matte, but it also made me break out. Quite weird...anyone else have that reaction?

  • i have very oily skin and I live in a very hot and and humid country and i think this should work!

  • Been using MoM for a while now and while its incredible at how it holds back the oil, I have to mention some cons. First off, just like bbh recommended, I always use moisturizer(otherwise its like face-suicide). This stuff is powerful. One thing I don't like at least for me is it makes my face feeling a little sticky (and I only apply as little as I can). Worst part is my friends and I have noticed it makes my skin rough and red (only on the areas I applied!) Im gonna not use it so much...

  • what kind of moisturizer do you use, if you dont mind my asking. I don't know what to use...thanks! :)

  • i tried the mom and my skin still gets oily under my makeup. i dont know, is there something i could be doing wrong?

  • Same, it doesnt work that well for me either. I guess our skin is SUPER-DUPER-OVER oily?

  • OMG..thanx so much for sharing this with ur subs..I have very oil skin..and I hate it when I wear makeup and in about four hours my skin turns orange and very shiny..it's gross..I'm going to go buy some mom today

  • does it have a smell? If i use the mostrisure after wont it ruin the MOM i applied?

  • No it doesn;t smell and the moisturizer doesn't interfere with the mom. Mom dries quickly and sets
